Hi I'm in Arizona and I'm watching your videos and I've learned a lot by using the tadpole divers I'm trying to catch walleyes in lakes out here and by watching your videos I'm catching quite a few fish and I appreciate it thank you very much

JOB- love the videos, really nice production and information. I feel more prepared for the upcoming walleye season. Also good to see couples fishing together and having very minor spats which all forgotten when reeling in a fish. Lol! Very reminiscent of my GF and myself! Lol!

Jason - One other "Must have" when fishing that far offshore is Sirius-XM weather. A couple years ago we were steelhead fishing out of Erieau 20+ miles out, blue bird skies and the USCG came on the radio with a Tornado warning for the western basin so we started trolling back towards shore, then 1/2 hour later, they came back on with a warning for the eastern basin - nothing where we were - still blue bird skies, but with no cell coverage, had no idea what was happening. We ended up packing up and headed in. I bought the weather module the following Monday :)

Hey Steve, I do run Sirrius XM Marine Weather on the boat. I just wish the monthly expense was a little less but it pays for itself when your out in the middle of Erie dodging storms with no cell phone reception as you pointed out.

Another great video. I think am going to upgrade to those Tekota a300s
@JOBFishing3 жыл бұрын
I would recomend the Tekota A 400 LC. They are just slightly larger but they do come with a power handle which gives you a little more horsepower.
@alwayssharp3 жыл бұрын
@@JOBFishing sounds good. I do like the bigger single handle

Ive heard from old timers that if the lake doesnt freeze the walleye bit sucks the next year. You ever hear somthin or experience that?
@JOBFishing3 жыл бұрын

Great videos. Been binge watching them all since I came across them. Can you answer a question please. When you run dipsy, what size are they and when you run a crank bait off them what ones do you use? Deep diving cranks will not work with the dipsy correct?
@JOBFishing3 жыл бұрын
Size 1 Dipsey Diver or size 4 Dreamweaver. I typically run shallow cranks behind any diver with about 6' leader.

Hay JOB I hope u had a Marry Christmas. I have a question what maps on you pc are you using and lake Image website are you using to see the water conditions ( muddy/clean ). Thanks for your time
Jason, love the videos and we are learning a ton... When you use braid what test is your braid? Also, you use a different style of front clip on your board with braid vs mono correct? Do you do anything different with the rear clip on the board?
@JOBFishing3 жыл бұрын
I use 40lb braid or close to the .012" diameter to keep close to the dive charts. I use Sams Clip OR39 infront and OR16 on the rear clip.

What rods were you using in this video, lots of fun feeling the fight.
@JOBFishing3 жыл бұрын
On the inline weighted harnessses I'm using the Denali Myraid MC802M 8' Medium Moderate Action rods. On the dipsey divers I use the Talora A TLA70MA 7', TLA80M2A 8', TLA90M2A 9' rods for the disey settings 0, 1.5 and 3.

@@JOBFishingThanks for the response. This is why I love your channel, the information you provide is priceless. Last May was my first trip to Erie and have already booked 2022. My success was for a large part due to your videos. Thanks

Another fantastic video. As I am refitting my boat to use the equipment you use, I am to the point of buying new rod holders. Have you chosen the Cisco rod holders with the locking rings to prevent your rods from being pulled out, or because they are more flexible than the tubes? I am going to get the rod holders with the locking rings, but I see a lot of boats have the tube holders. Thank you for explaining this to me. Happy Holidays and best to you and your family in the new year. Bruce B.

I like the long cradles because... 1. I like the line counters facing up so I can easliy read them. 2. I also musky fish so having the long cradles I can put the rod tips down below the water surface. 3. The long cradles also bring the rod butts about 5" further out of the boat to help give more real estate inside the boat.
