As an international student from Haryana, India, currently studying in Canada, I'm finding it hard to secure a job, especially in the bustling city of Toronto. Despite my best efforts, navigating the job market has been a struggle due to various challenges such as limited work experience, unfamiliarity with the local job market, and competition with local candidates.
Today, I am setting out with ten copies of my resume, ready to visit various restaurants in the hopes of finding employment. My goal is to personally submit my resume at each location and inquire about any job openings they may have. This approach allows me to make a direct impression and demonstrate my eagerness and willingness to work.
I understand the importance of being persistent and proactive in my job search. I am prepared to face potential rejections and will continue to refine my approach, learning from each experience. With determination and a positive attitude, I am hopeful that I will eventually secure a position in a restaurant, gaining valuable work experience and easing the financial pressures of being an international student.
