After my recent A7S3 update, I really haven’t been using gamma assist but I have it set to my rear scroll wheel’s left button. C1 = White balance, C2 = Focus Mag, C3 = Breathing Comp, C4 = Clear Image Zoom.

I must say, the pre-thought of the lightning and Mini composite has the potential to be an epic shot. The beauty here is, you saw the opportunity to think ahead. It wasn't planned. It was creative in the moment. That's a plus. I've been an Art Director or Creative Director in NYC for 20+ years and now a agency owner in Texas for 15. When I see that kind of thinking on your feet, that gets the slow head nod and approval smile from an old dog like me. I don't know if it will play out but in my head I can see that shot. Nice. What camera did you have on that 4th car mount? Pocket3?

Careful with the fixed polar , if you do a big pan wide shot, with a lot of blue sky , the skies " blue ness " will change quite noticeably .

My setup for A7SIII : viewfinder OFF as I rarely use it, C3 as another record button (clutch when holding a gimbal), C2 white balance, C1 focus modes, left button on the wheel to engage clear image zoom, the rest is default I believe.

I don't even have a button for gamma assist, I leave it to default as on whenever I'm shooting SLOG, I personally wouldn't waste a button for that as there are more important functions that you could assign to that button. I believe I had white balance set to that button when I owned my S3.

Same! If you leave gamma assist on and set the profile in the gamma assist settings to auto it will adapt between profiles. If you have it directly set to rec709 then it will double up on-top of a profile.

@@remery4 it’s pushed me further towards my brz. The mini has way too many automations that are suppose to make things easier but just end up being confusing and actually limiting. I do like the lane assistance on the highway though. Basically drives itself. The turbo is fun too.

Once again, Polar Pro Helix system. It's a magnetic locking system that prevents that and is the solution to all your problems. Trust me, you'll thank me later.
