Two Red Mages with Doubblecast and Sleep, plus one Juggler with Smile, and the whole enemy team will be incapacitated before they can do anything at all. Including the backrow. Then Assassin Last Breath and Fighter Beatdown clean up.

I love this game In general it's a great game that does not get the recognition it deserves as a game I also love some of the ways if your a smart Power gamer that you can get rewarded. In my opinion if less people stoped hating on the law mechanics that slightly restrict the gameplay and focused on the cool details and the fact that the battles can be stupid fun if you play it right allot more people would like it. :)

I probably have upwards of a 1000 hours in this game and was even able to find someone to link cable with to get a bunch of multiplayer only content. *(B) Alchemist:* This class has a lot going for it, and you can easily be enticed to level up in this class due to it having the Death Spell, access to Items and a second class, and even some extremely nasty status effects. Technically the stat growth isn't bad, and only Time Mage can outstrip it in terms of growth, but that's only if you have enough MP already. *(C) Animist:* Good for a few things early game and can allow you to take on missions that are much higher difficulty. This is due to a lot of strong Animist abilities being available early on, but as a whole this class is pretty bad. Even the stat growth is middle of the road. *(D) Archer:* Both of these classes are only good for their concentration ability. Fighter is a much better choice to level up with for Physical Humes and Vieras want to get into the Assassin or Summoner job to level up as quickly as possible. On that note, Archers get early access to Addle, which can trivialize some major battles. *(S) Assassin:* Extremely powerful and easily the strongest class in the game outside of boss fights. Assassins are the main reason why the Concentration ability is considered broken. The fact that this strongest class is also one of the strongest stat growth spreads for the race means that every Viera should be dabbling in this class. *(B) Beastmaster:* Technically can be strong and must be developed early if you wish to have a competent Blue Mage. Using the skills from this job is the only reliable way to get support monster actions. Considering that you can learn these actions as long as you have the Learning support ability on and that you can fill out the Beastmaster's skill list very quickly, it is worth doing if it's not your first playthrough. *(D) Bishop:* Never really liked Bishop since a lot of their good abilities don't become available until later, and in reality they're just a weaker Sage. *(B) Black Mage:* You really cannot lump together Nu Mou Black Mage with the other two. Moogles are much better as other classes and Humans simply benefit more from physical classes as well. Nothing feels greater than casting Fira on your BM with Blaze Robe on and healing for a huge amount while decimating enemies. Geomancy also feels incredibly underappreciated since it can even affect weapon and skill elements. *(S) Blue Mage:* Incredibly tedious, even just a few choice skills can turn any unit into a force to be reckoned with. Once you get the Learn ability, switch off the class as quickly as possible as a Hunter or Fighter will be a much better fit. Once again, You need to get Goblin Punch (Goblins) and Dragon Force (Thundrake) as quickly as possible before those monsters disappear. As a tip, you should be focusing on weapon attack stat growth for blue mages. *(C) Defender:* Expert Guard did clutch me through my first time beating the final boss, but yeah this class is pretty garbage at winning encounters quickly. At most, this class was probably designed with the AI in mind, as it presents a puzzle where the solution is to bombard it with magic. *(B) Dragoon:* Kind of like a "weaker" Gladiator, this class mainly does either conal based attacks or a delayed 4-range Jump that gets stronger the closer you are to the target (I think at least, damage calculation for this is very weird). The titular jump ability can't even be used without a lance. They also have some extremely negligible niche anti-dragon skills. Gladiator outpaces this class in total damage and Monk outpaces in terms of speed and variety in their kit. *(C) Elementalist:* Great early game class for a magic based viera prior to getting Double-cast or some of the latter strong summons. It's also great as a back-up in case Summons/Assassin techniques are outlawed. The big notable abilities being Fire Whip and Sliprain, which inflict Addle and Slow respectively. Since you still want to be leveling in either Assassin or Summoner, it's imperative to learn these skills quick and switch back to a more powerful job. *(D) Fencer:* Horrible stat growth, horrible skills, pitiful weapon set, get the one skill you need to unlock other jobs and get out as quickly as possible. *(A) Fighter:* Incredible early game damage, persisting late game utility, and frankly amazing stat growth lands this guy higher than most Hume jobs. If you want to win the game in general, all of your Humes should have levels in Fighter as Humes excel at physical damage and Fighter is the best physical attack stat growth of the race. At the end of the day though, it definitely shouldn't be the final destination of your character's job. *(F) Gadgeteer:* Outside of making the game more frustrating, there's no reason to ever pick up this class. *(A) Gladiator:* Perhaps the best class for Bangaa since it has the ultima sword ability and a variety of spell sword tech. Their somewhat high MP usage means that you might need to invest some levels in Templar & White Monk in order to both preserve a competent speed growth while still being able to cast the ultima sword ability at least twice. It also gets the general utility of pushback/risky hit/guaranteed hit/whirlwind. *(S) Gunner:* I agree, the fact that many Mog Knight abilities benefit from gun range in the same way Viera Assassins benefit from bows makes them broken. Concentration + Mog Rush can be an insanely powerful combo when out of MP and doing a long range Mog Charge when you do is like icing on the cake. Keep in mind though, Gunner is not a class you want to take any level ups in, as the stat growth is horrendous. Instead, level up in Thief early game for high speed and go Mog Knight mid-game for high attack and magic power. *(S) Hunter:* Extremely powerful and limited only by the early scarcity of their weapons, the Hunter is the sole reason why Hume Archers are D rank. Contrary to extremely limited Dragoon anti-dragon abilities, Hunter's anti-monster abilities are much stronger and are much easier to take advantage of. If simply being the best ranged Hume class wasn't enough, their ability to capture monsters is integral for developing Morphers. As such, due to certain monsters going extinct, it's fairly important that you not only make your Hunter, but do it fairly quickly as well. Most notably has great Attack growth comparable to Soldier, good MP/Magic growth, and respectable Speed Growth. As such, a unit that spends the entire game as a Hunter can pretty much become anything they want to quite well. *(D) Illusionist:* The Nu Mou version of this job is not completely worthless, but requires a lot of building and Juggler/Time Mage abuse to be somewhat competent. Time Mage has the highest Magic Attack stat growth while Illusionist is second place with an extremely high MP growth as well. Because of this, if you recruit a Nu Mou Illusionist, they will (big surprise) be very well suited to being just that. Stardust + Turbo MP is probably the best output you can do on this class and combined with a few Smiles or Quickens, can wipe out the enemy team before a full round passes. Conversely, while leveling you might consider combining Geomancy with one of the elemental spells, as few enemies this early on have weaknesses or resistances and the elemental weakness damage bonus is more significant than Turbo MP's. In terms of Hume Illusionists though, they lack both the MP and magic attack needed to really elevate the class. *(A) Juggler:* Probably the best enabler, you really don't need to worry about what your stats are when using a Juggler or it's abilities besides your speed. In addition to the best status effects in the game at no MP cost, they get access to Smile, an MP free Quicken. Combine this with the insane speed of this class and you've got a powerhouse. Thief is usually the best combo for this class as both boast high speed growth and both have great abilities and gear that work in tandem. *(B) Mog Knight:* While probably one of the best classes to level as with it's reliable abilities and supreme stat growth, this class should never be the end goal. *(S) Morphers:* The true pinnacle of strength in FFTA since the monsters you catch can be trained to have max stats. Since stats don't matter for a Morpher, really any Nu Mou can take advantage of it. Compared to Blue Mage, Morphers are more of a hassle and insanely expensive to develop, but any Morpher can take advantage of the benefits of the Monster Bank where as each individual Blue Mage needs to learn their spells. So yeah, this is a big reason why Hunter is so important as well. *(C) Ninja:* With it's rating being heavily carried by the generally appealing stat growth and the Double Sword support ability, Ninjas are one of the most important classes for Humes. The abilities on the other hand, are complete garbage. If anything, Ninja is another example of an AI class which does low damage and occasionally inconveniences the player. It really isn't even worth it leveling any other ability besides double sword because of this. Here's a neat trick, try to get two Nosadas in order to learn Double Sword twice as fast.

*(S) Paladin:* Welcome to the best end game job for Hume simply due to their impressive range of insanely strong equipment. You shouldn't ever level up in Paladin, but combined with Double Sword, Blue Mage secondary abilities, Hunter level ups, and end game equipment, the Paladin can solo pretty much any fight. The main reason why this class shines is it's ability to have 9 movement with "Sequence, Nagarok, Peytral, Acacia Hat, and Ninja Tabi." 9 movement is enough to outpace pretty much every encounter in the game and is one of the most broken builds you can make. *(A) Red Mage:* There's no such thing as a Viera caster that doesn't benefit heavily from Red Mage. Dual Cast notably gets around laws preventing stuff like summoning or Elementalist Skills because the game considers it as you casting a Red Mage skill. For this simple reason, Dual Cast is just "too good" not to take. *(A) Sage:* This class is usually the end result for most Nu Mou spellcasters. Definitely worth using for their Ultima ability alone. Notably, their best spells are only a range of 3, meaning that this class benefits heavily from having a higher speed than most Nu Mous as well as movement increasing accessories. *(C) Sniper:* Sniper is a great class specifically for the AI. Nothing will make you reset faster than the game destroying your one-of-a-kind weapon or armor. For the player though, they feel like a balanced version of the Assassin, and considering how many insane magic based classes there are for Viera, they simply don't measure up. Even in terms of stat growth, it's just smarter to level up as an Assassin. *(D) Soldier:* No worthwhile abilities, and even in terms of stat growth you are better off leveling as either Hunter or even Blue Mage for versatility. Changing over to Fighter as quickly as possible is the best decision you can make for leveling up your Hume. *(A) Summoner:* Mainly combined with Red Mage for the Dual Cast, Summoner boasts the highest magic attack stat growth in the game. Investing heavily into this class or simply recruiting an end game summoner is ensuring that you're creating a magical powerhouse. In addition to doing large aoe attacks, Summoner is best known for aoe raise and regen, which can make your team unstoppable even in the face of instant death attacks. They are also the bane of all undead in the game, as dual casting phoenix can allow them to wipe entire fields of those monsters off the map. *(C) Templar:* Perhaps even worse than Defender, the Templar lacks any really powerful or unique abilities and an unfocused stat spread with the worst speed growth for Bangaas. What's even worse is that most of the weapons that Templar needs to be good are in the late game. This can be mitigated by using Haste, which Templars can learn, but even then this is best used as a secondary class to support either Dragoon or Gladiator. *(S) Thief:* Steal Ability is so strong that it alone is enough to put them at the top. Most notably, this is the best way to get abilities for late game recruited Moogles and Humes. In fact, a recruited Moogle Thief is the best option to create a Juggler. Outside of this though, Thieving in general allows you to get late game gear early and is some of the only ways to get some of the best pieces in general. *(C) Time Mage:* It's kind of weird that this class is one of the worst in the game while also paradoxically being one of the classes you should definitely level your Nu Mou in for a bit to take advantage of the ridiculously high magic attack and speed. After you've gotten enough MP on your Nu Mou, this is the place to level up, because those two stats will determine the effectiveness of any non-Morpher Nu Mou. *(C) White Mage:* Weak in general in terms of stat growth, the best things you get from White Mage are Turbo MP and the early game healing. Cura can be game breaking due to how early you get it and Protect/Shell can also shore up any weak points in your party. It quickly becomes pointless once your other characters start coming together though. *(D) Warrior:* Big surprise, there's nothing good about Warriors in the same way that Soldiers fail to be a good class. Get your unlocks and get out as quick as possible. *(A) White Monk:* Contrary to what OP thinks, White Monk has all of the best parts of Fighter in addition to the ability to revive, permakill undead, self-cleanse, dispel nearby enemies, and Earth Rend, which is essentially a gun. Bangaas will want to at least dip somewhat into this class as the speed stat growth is unlike most others, and coupled as a secondary class with a damage oriented class like Gladiator you end up with an insanely versatile unit. It's modest increase in Magic attack will also result in a stronger Ultima Sword from the Gladiator.

You definitely underestimate the time mage by focusing on "Quicken" and "Smile". Sure, they can give a unit an extra turn, but it also costs a turn to use it. They give a net benefit of 0 turns, so they neither gain nor lose you anything. "Haste" and "Stop" are where it's at for time mages. "Haste" wastes a turn to give your buffed unit 2-3 turns before it wears off. Haste is just free turns. It's like a pot of greed in yugioh, there is literally zero reason to ever not carry one. Meanwhile "Stop" is an AoE attack which blocks affected units' next several turns. 99% of the time the battle is over by the time it wears off. In practice, it basically equates to a 1HKO move with AoE. Since the battle is effectively over for whatever it hits.

@@makairp Yeah, but for every 1 turn a time mage takes, he can grant a different class 2-3 turns with haste. So in terms of number of turns he adds to your party as a whole he's effectively impossibly fast.

Ezel is B with Azoth. It’s a great ability. Alchemist has Death which is instant certain death if you set up with sleep or stop.

I've been playing with FFTA for a while. Most points are valid like the illusionist. However, if you're willing to sit through them, you are able to hit everyone on the opposing side from anywhere. Morpher is valid. It's a pain to get abilities, but the payoff is well worth it. Also, moogle knight is Ultima charge. Hunter with advice for crit rate(?) Is pretty good. Time mage feels like a B because Stop, Demi and Quicken chain with just 2 units. Also the "oo" in the "moogle" is more of an "oo" in "oof"

Archers were low balled there. A lot of hunter's stun and disruption abilities come from archer abilities. Aim arm, aim leg, aim weapon, aim armor, aim vitals, charm, blind, and they can even boost. It's a lot of nice stuff. I think they're c tier. A class to build into a stronger one later on. Blue mage and morpher sound awesome, but I dread the amount of work it takes for them to be good. Agree with everything except archers.

In a game that speed matters, an archer not moving first, human archer < Viera archer only because if they start off as am assassin and have the speed then they are decent. Overall archer isn't great. Many u it have block arrows, and arrows aren't that strong

early on there decent, and then later they dont over much plus block arrow occasional appearing on units get annoying

​@@makairplol archer can be better when you equipment with counter reaction ability, if enemy shot you, the also counterattack shot from far distance, first build atk first using soldier, paladin and fighter, after ark was higher, change archer back and result will be better than hunter

my favorite human combo is fighter/hunter sonic boom i believe does more damage then far fist, plus access to ultima shot. combinations depend on play style.

Here is my list: - Bangaa: Defender Bishop Bishops are broken with their ability to petrify and the ability to have it at half cost just makes it stupid, now use defender to become impervious to damage and you're an Astra away from being a literally unkillable tank that "instakills" units But if something is immune to petrify, you're still a healer with a good offense and ye good old Meltdown for when their utility runs out - Nu Mou: Sage Illusionist The great power of giga flare and half mp because sometimes you just need to desintegrate something, you can build as illusionist for more magic power and because map wide magic is still broken last time i checked - Viera: Asassin Sniper Assassins are broken as it is with everything and their Ultima Masher on a bow, snipers have 9.4 attack growth which is higher than assassins 8.8, so you get to do double shots while you wait for the MP to come in with even more damage - Moogle: Time Mage Thief A thief with time magic is the fastest unit you can get with access to Quicken, faster turns means more quickens and (kinda) exponentially faster turns for your party

I know Ritz is post game and she's basically a human viera class where would she land in terms of tier or its basically the same as the viera on that list even if Ritz has the stats of a human.
