This was EXCELLENT info. Great tips. If you can't communicate your claim effectively....no one can help you....

I wish i had watched this when looking for an attorney 5 years ago. I was like the person your responding to in the video. I had done a tremendous amount of research. I knew what my legal rights were and knew where those rights had been violated, but i was so raw, so beaten up and fragile that i was having a difficult time relaying my story to a prospective firm. I finally had an attorney take a moment and decifer what i was trying to tell him, which lead to a contrat and representation. We're still going thru the legal process, just finished with summary judgement and heading towards court. Its a long road to justice

How many attorneys did you speak with before you found success?

Unrelated, but you should look into getting a miniature highland cow for your hobby farm. They are adorable!

I am actually looking at getting several. Our cold weather combined with my inexperience with larger animals make the miniature highland a perfect option. Know any good farms in the North East to source from?

@JobAttorney a friend of mines has a similar farm, she calls it a "Gentleman's Farm".

Hi Vincent, love your work! Thank you! Currently pursuing a discrimination & retaliation case in NY. There are elements to my case that I'm confident would add value but my attorney seems to impulsively dismiss them as worthless as if he's too busy. I don't want to seem like a pushy jerk because I respect my attorney and genuinely appreciate his work but I'd like to repackage the information so he can see its value. How can I do that? Also, how likely is it that if I win my discrimination case, that I would be placed on paid leave for a number of years? How long does that usually last? I 100% expect more retaliation after I win my case. Also, I notice that ever since I filed the discrim case, I've been under increased scrutiny and threatened with discipline for being 2-3 minutes late from my break while coworkers sitting next to me frequently do the same or more without consequence. Does this add value to my case? Lastly, my union colludes with management (have proof) and consistently fails to represent me as well as they represent others. When when is it beneficial to sue my labor union? Sorry for the long message! BadBossTestDummy Brooklyn, NY

It's interesting hearing an attorney talk, thinking through legal problems. I'm looking for an attorney in the Atlanta area right now. I just received my right to sue letter from the EEOC. I'm kind of scared that the lawyer I find might take my money and do nothing.
@brianmoore5819 ай бұрын
@charlesjohnstone2155 yeah, I'm looking for the contingency fee type. If they don't win, they don't get paid. That way I know that they are motivated. And I would happily take less if I win, rather than pay someone up front. I think of it like a prepaid car maintenance plan - once they have your money they no longer give a crap about you and/or nothing they recommend is covered by the plan you already paid for.

Really great video, I feel like for many people including myself, if you’re on KZbin and researching employment law for your own case it is super easy to make mistakes in the pitch

Sounds like a Federal employee. The repeated references to "agency" and the prominent mention of a whistleblower claim (which is a big thing in the Federal context).

Lol your great i love listening to you your hilarious but your real and your serious just how i expect a lawyer should be. My question is how is it like going up against public entities your government entities for retaliation? Is it harder, do you guys try to avoid those cases? Any insight would be great.

How long before a case become stale and attorney may not want to help? I understand Tolling but it has been over seven years since I made a complaint a complaint with an administrative agency they claim it is under investigation and they understand that it is hard to be patient. Is this a standard to try and make a complainant go away? This does not seem reasonable, but it has all been documented. Also, could this be considered a form of discrmination, retaliation or misfeasance? Or could this be considered Equal Protection?🤔
@viralsheddingzombie53249 ай бұрын
Seven years is absurd.

Criminal is a more accurate representation of the situation.The Labor Commishioner is in essence flying My plane into the ground. I can only think it's because I am not interested in a $1000.00 or a $2500.00 settlement offer. I guess I deserve nothing.They won't give me a Merit/No Merit Finding and No Investigation takes over 7 years honestly. They wanted to reinterview the decision makers (my employer) about a year ago, yet they would not tell me why and did not reinterview me.

I want you to do a video advising me on how to approach a situation involving being accused of a violent crime at work. Management, supervisor,hr voiced that a signature on a confession was not to be opposed. Employee refuses to sign, above mentioned physically blocked doorway , employee called police to be escorted out of building for safety. Can police body cam footage be used against employer in court.

Hello, just like you received help from youtube about attorney questions, why don't you try putting applying for early retirement in the youtube search. I'm sure you'll get help. I'm going to do the same so that I can learn how to solicit my case to attorneys and they'll want to accept my case. Sorry about your husband's diagnosis- I have cervical dystonia and can relate.
