Smashing the table after a loss, hitting the queen piece onto the table or getting up the chair with that attitude after the game - NONE of these is a sign of a good Sports Person! Wins and losses are a part of games. Frustration after a loss is obvious, but a gesture of appreciation towards your better performing opponent could calm you down, while letting you learn from your mistakes.

I started to do this when I ever I lose on lichess so I tell them good game and well played. However noone bothered to reply back ever. So instead now I got to their DMs and insult them to take out my frustration. That is the way to take out your frustration for online chess as most of who you play against are douchebags. OTB it will depend on the opponent.

@@divyanshu5831 I don't think, such expressions are the part of this sport and should be encouraged. Of course, no one is bad in this world. Not at all. He just gave up too many pieces for a very superficial attack. I don't understand why he's so angry, because when you play this style of chess you kind of accept that you might very well lose. It's insane for him to think he could have won that endgame. There was no missed opportunity or tactic or even a chance to hold the position.

Chess is brutal, honestly I don't appreciate the game because of this. It is just a game but can make me rage badly. While doing a physical sport doesn't get my nerves not even close like that. I played lots of football before and sometimes I lose all my games and never I get as upset as when I lose let's say some random bullet game even there is no one watching me.

@@sakuragi_hanamichi3263 I agree, I think it's not healthy to play chess unless you can manage to have a very laid back attitude towards it.

@@user-gc2jx4gj2q close to none of the GMs have a healthy outlook on Chess. Tough to have, when most of your accomplishments in life are based on and around your Chess career.

Doesnt really matter. Agression is a part of every game. Even Gukesh smashed the table once again Raunak during the middle of the game which made Raunak flinch. Magnus and other top players do it on daily basis. I don't know why do you need to put everything on a pedestal. Majority of the people in this comment section have probably more flaws than both of them combined and are expecting other people to be perfect.
