My dad and I saw this movie when it came out in the mid 80s. It's pretty neat how a production like this is made. They do all of the individual scenes, and then edit them together, and add the sound effects and music, it's quite an art.

The amount of professionalism shown by everyone from Stallone to all the technicians including BGM is outstanding work and thats what made this movie so amazing that even now you can watch it many times, and with today's technology like CGI work are no match to these masterpiece.

@@m1lst3r89 Good list 👌. I used to love going to the movies with a good friend of mine. We both liked these types of movies. I stopped all together going to the movies when Hellywood stopped making these types of action packed real cinematography movies, and started all the cgi fake crap. I couldn't tell you how long it's been since I walked in to a movie theater. Sad really. On a side note, there's not much anything nowadays that I truly enjoy as I once did in the 80's and early 90's in this current society/generation. I'd love to go back to the 80's and leave all this technology behind. Life was soooooooo much better then...people were a lot more real in every facet of life as well. No freakazoids like in today's society. No plastered with ink and metal in and on them. No multi-colored hair, no phony/fake anything. Perfect?...no, but the 80's were a whole lot more pure and innocent and definitely more authentic.

from the first shot (it’s an explosion by the way) to the last, this movie is as perfect as an action movie can be. everything has been shot and cut „to the point“, not a single second too much. everything looks and sounds martialic (even the music), has a perfect flow and aesthetic to it, nothing feels too much or too less. stallone‘s physique and tan are on point, probably his all time best. this movie is a TRUE classic.

hmm idk... cameron is a quality writer could be a case of stallone shooting himself in the foot by doing that, could have been a better movie. I think what happened was... stallone made it all about him. I'm not judging because it's his baby but I think maybe he did it for himself rather than "making the script better"

The first movie reverberated the anti war plus support your troops agenda where audience sympathized with rambo, this movie is perverse celebrating violence, in late 70s new york was filled with junkie vietnam soldiers who came addicted to heroin from vietnam sentiments were anti government in 70s but in 80s it was hip to be square

"You are very strong, much stronger than all the others. No matter. You will tell me what I want to know." - that electrified bed scene was fantastic this movie was Epic Greatness the perfect movie for 1985 when Reagan was President and Americans were super patriotic. This and Red Dawn in 1984 and Top Gun in 1986 were the most patriotic movies of the 80s.
@acason4
@acason4 Жыл бұрын
🤦🏼‍♂️ This isn’t a movie about patriotism. In fact it’s kind of the antithesis of that notion in the sense of the government. Stallone even said so himself. It’s like you’re wholly unaware of the movies overall message. It’s waving a fist at the notion of patriotism.
@moviesgalore9947
@moviesgalore9947 Жыл бұрын
@@acason4 Wrong - Rambo is the ultimate patriot he goes in alone to rescue his fellow veterans because Our Government is Corrupt it's always been corrupt the whole Vietnam War was a corrupt money-making enterprise. The soldiers who were fooled into going there or drafted and sent there are the patriots. Not the Government. Rambo fights for what's right and noble and just. Stallone knows how corrupt our Government was and is. He's a smart guy he's a genius.

@@m1lst3r89 Nope. Unlike you I listened to what Stallone specifically said. In multiple interviews he said that “Rambo was NOT a political statement or meant to be a sentiment of patriotism. In fact, I’m almost like a political atheist but once Reagan said” … “I saw Rambo” it then became a political statement”. Those are Stallone’s words verbatim. He specifically mentions it became one, but that’s NOT what the movie was about or intended to be. That’s just a demonstrable fact.
@m1lst3r89
@m1lst3r89 Жыл бұрын
@@acason4 i am sorry but you cannot make a movie with political messages and call apolitical. Until the end, the movie was indeed apolitical, then Rambo throws a clear patriotic statement. To deny otherwise is an example of political infantilism.
