Hello Mr. Kishore, I have signed a contract with an employer in Maldives involved with construction of resorts in October 2019. The work permit process started in October and they have not been able to arrange a work permit since. Based on my last communication with them on 14th Jan2020, they are suggesting that if work permit doesn't come by Jan 25, they will call me to Maldives on a business Visa in Feb 1st week. Please suggest weather this is the right way to proceed in the given circumstances.

To be frank, there is no need to have a car. Parking is a serious problem in Malé. 2-3K USD should be ok to keep your family with you if your employer is providing a decent accommodation
