Jockey arrested for electrical device

At one of the biggest horse racing events of the year Jockey Raul Valenzuela, 20 was arrested for allegedly possessing an electrical device.

A machine, battery or joint really doesn’t move a horse up anyway. A horse can only run as fast as they are capable of, and when someone uses a machine on it, they may exude a length or two...it’s not like a horse turns into American Pharoa when it gets hit by one. And it’s not like they’re getting shocked from a car battery. It’s a 9 Volt that startles you more than it hurts you. I was asked a few times to carry, I said I would just to keep the mount, then going down the lane, I’d poke the horse in the neck with the end of my stick, (whip) and won that way.
