Just starting, but committed to watching in one sitting right now! Can’t wait to really learn more about a true American hero! Thanks Jocko, I’m sure it was tough! Now 3:30am, I’ve watched multiple times, different segments several times, an amazing family and an amazing Hero! I’ve never seen Jocko as emotional as this, and understandably so, the description of that split second decision by Michael Monsoor was seemingly his destiny, as a kid always putting his friends and family ahead of himself, and then to give the ultimate sacrifice for your brothers, Wow! September 29 is now etched in my brain, and those of us unfortunates who never knew him will still remember, and thank God that this story is known! R.I.P. Michael, you earned it!

Thank Mr.Monsoor and family, both genetic and bonded, for sharing Micheal’s story. George is spot on with his intent by sharing Micheal’s story will inspire others. It does. As well as this podcast because I would love to hear Mr. Monsoor share his life lessons especial in how he endorsed his fight with the IRS. Also spot on as to why listen to or read Micheals story? Learn from others, perseverance, humor, friendship, humble, honor and true sacrifice. Although my intent isn’t to minimize but I listen to these podcast to keep my perspective in check. Micheal’s story and George’s sentiments expressed about the “bad” day are spot on! Thank you all who contributed to this book and who continue to support each other by sharing. I apologize that I didn't know Mikey's story let alone Rhamadi completely. Jocko does a great job of reading Mike's fathers book. I feel so insignificant for what the teams did and the Marines/Army. I'm completely in debt for the sacrifices they made. The story of Mike Monsoor told by his father is so riveting. I'm speechless and to hear he actually told his father if he was to die there it would be his way. The selfless act of jumping on a grenade to save his boys. I can't do much but I try to help certain companies that sell clothing and other goods that put a spotlight on certain charities. The Til valhalla 22 a day veteran suicides daily, Grunt Style, etc. By wearing the clothing I get asked and I'm able to tell them the background of the company I'm supporting. God Bless Michael Monsoor and he is an Angel

Many don't understand the true sacrifices our military make to serve and protect us all. Thank you Jocko for showing us how these men should be seen and remembered for all they had done and continue to do. The training is brutal and it has to be to prepare a man for what is to come in combat. In all branches there is a strong bond from brothers in combat. This is especially true with SEAL Teams. I would encourage you all to take the time to visit the Navy SEAL Museum in Ft Pierce Florida if you come to visit Florida. You will see their history, learn of their sacrifices and honor. Michael Monsoor is only one of many who have made this amazing sacrifice without a thought for his own safety. You will learn about men like Tom Norris and Michael Thornton and so many others. You will see displays with the actual equipment they used in the past and learn how far they have come since their humble beginnings. Every one of these men is special. They eagerly risk their lives to keep the world safe. The teams became legendary very quickly and developed into the absolute best fighting men in any military. We are fortunate that men like Jocko take the time and effort to provide us with these true stories of our heroes. Even with what these podcasts are able to reveal it is only the tip of the iceberg. Most of what these men do and have done even in the days of Viet Nam up to the present time, remains secret even today. I would also encourage anyone interested in donating to the Trident House which is one way you can show appreciation to our heroes. Here is a link to find out more: www.navysealmuseum.org/trident-house Your donations to this cause are very much appreciated. To find out more about the museum you can use this link: www.navysealmuseum.org
