There is something about the Jocko x Huberman combination that I love. Their last podcast I listened to in May of 2022 was a critical point in improving my life where after hearing their discussion I really got after it that spring/summer. It sparked a pattern of behavior where I drove 2.5 hours to volunteer at a summer camp every weekend from June-August. I bought the audiobooks for Extreme Ownership & Dichotomy of leadership to listen to on my weekly drives. Looking back, Episode 332 was hugely influential and beneficial to my mental and physical wellbeing. I’m just over an hour in and think this will be the next huge evolution leading into this summer. Thanks guys. GET SOME!

Yas! I haven’t even heard the whole podcast yet but it has already made my day listening to fellow old school punks telling the tales. I too was in the Bay Area mid 80’s with purple hair and safety pins in my ears messing around at Gilman, the Mabuhay, etc, living the punk scene. The many decades between then and now i have been powering through that soul death that was mentioned. So becoming an avid listener to both Jocko and Huberman podcasts has been a genuine lift to my spirit, perspective and attitude. I think the long Huberman episodes are excellent as I have a commute so perfect fuel for my brain to and from work. Huge Jocko fan. My son is Air Force (myself a Navy vet) so exposure to the books and supps has been a game changer in my habits and self talk. Was just so excited to hear references to Strummer, the Ramones, Jello, I had to message. Ok now I can drive my commute and hear the rest. Just Mahalo meh dudes.

I've been vegan punkrock straightedge since 1980. I started my own business in large part from that straightedge punk rock DIY mindset. I'm a little older than Huberman but I, too, grew up in the Bay Area and definitely spent MANY hours at shows at Gilman and lots of other places especially where underage shows were happening. I share a lot of overlapping experiences, and worldview/punk rock ethics with ya all to this day. Minor Threat, Social Distortion, many others were huge for me. I hung out with skaters, artists, musicians and various misfits, but I wasn't a "Betty". Fun to hear all the stories.

I disagree with a few things about digital property and AI statements of Dr. H. Big fan of his podcast and first time hearing his opinion on the material, but being we are learning all the new and exciting rules and laws updating and helping us towards everyone’s future. I believe a lot in doing what’s right and I agree thank goodness for God who helps us through difficult times and also steers us towards a favored blessed adventure. 😊Stay true guys thank you for what you do ❤ good hearts always prevail ❤ Thank you 🐝

I believe that we as people are our own god. You have to believe and for ppl its about a god or other believe systems. Its alot like manifestation you have to play the part however it may be. You really need to believe and want change and focus all your energy in the rite places and at times dont forget to always remember the past and past lessons. I learned the hard way. I lost my girlfriend and my mind. But honestly she showed me somuch but it was to late for me and her but we are talking now and asked for help from me. Its not a bad thing to need a helping hand. I didnt know what was really going on and i made life so hard for us both bc i was being so negative and i see now more then ever and its to little to late but iam able to let change happen or you will not get anywhere when your stuck in past things. Just accept everything and learn from it and dont give up and always believe that its possible to get ahead but you need to make positive progress and have the hope and it will come together more and more. She showed me Andrew and iam so thankful for that and for her. We went other ways but thats ok its never to late to fix your life

Gentlemen thank you. 🙏 No one will ever really know the truth about what happens behind the scene. We have a moral obligation as American men to move with integrity. If everyone took care of their square one, we could all hang out together in square two.

45:45 And that's why - in my brief, yet very heartfelt, then disappointed professional experience - academia - as it lazily is today, not how Plato forged it - will always be just a place of comfort. Never of Growth.

I read the article that Dr. Huberman referenced and I also read some rebuttals. Having watched this I believe that he was "playing the field" but nothing worse than that. Also, 100% that a person who cares for their dog is likely a good person overall.

Taylor Swift wrote the ultimate Extreme Ownership anthem... "Antihero". I often sing it to myself when dealing with things done wrong by my employees..."it's me, I'm the problem. " 😅

i was born with some medical conditions, at 18years of age i was 110 cm tall.. now 40 and 160 cm tall pain was my cradle, at school i was hanged on coat hangers, bulying was daily.. imagine a 20 year old boy with 1.15 m tall.. socialy i was irelevant on all spectres.. all i had to do is to organize and find constructs inside with whom i avoided a lot of pain.. today phisical pain i allways disconsider .. and i voluntary become dull to others views of me .. without Christ.. i would had remained in emotional/inner pain hell

Pain of any kind represents an issue big enough to draw the needed attention to hopefully solve the problem. Keep working at the problem and it could possibly be removed. You have options if you look fkr them.

I've seen other channels attack this gentlemen. But his advice on leadership and life has helped me make better choices. Ill continue to listen to the message this gentlemen says. Anything that happened or transpired overseas. Will be between him and the Lord. We shouldn't make judgement calls on things we have no knowledge of. Just listen to his message and better yourself.
