𝗜𝗧'𝗦 𝗢𝗖𝗧𝗢𝗕𝗘𝗥 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮.
𝗜 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗩𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗢 𝗙𝗢𝗢𝗧𝗔𝗚𝗘 𝗢𝗖𝗧𝗢𝗕𝗘𝗥 𝟭𝟵𝟵𝟭
Here's a #TBT for ya. I've been shooting a lot of footage all around the city this past summer. That's not the first time I've done that. I did that 31 Years Ago Too.
Here is some footage I took at the 𝗧𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗗𝗖
It was Washington, DC's 200th Birthday.
There was a whole lot of drama with 𝗔𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗔 𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗟 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗔𝗦 back then with her Sexual Assault allegations against him. All over the news constantly!!!
This event was a welcome break from that clown show happening on the Hill with that asshole Clarence getting into the Supreme Court..and unfortunately he's STILL THERE to this day.
𝗝𝗢𝗗𝗘𝗖𝗜 performed along with 𝗞𝗜𝗗 & 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗬 as they promoted 𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗦𝗘 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗬 𝟮 droping a week later.
This footage I took is of 𝗝𝗢𝗗𝗘𝗖𝗜 performing "𝙎𝙏𝘼𝙔" and then getting MOBBED after their set. You would have thought 𝗠𝗜𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗘𝗟 𝗝𝗔𝗖𝗞𝗦𝗢𝗡 himself was down there as you'll see towards the end. 😲😲😲😲😲😲
I went home and told my brother Elgin (Now 𝗚𝗜𝗡𝗨𝗪𝗜𝗡𝗘) about Jodeci but he was dismissive of them. I remember he said he wasn't feelin them too much because they were too much like 𝗕𝗕𝗗. He based that on their first video 𝗚𝗢𝗧𝗧𝗔 𝗟𝗢𝗩𝗘 that dropped.
I kept trying to tell him..nahhh man!!!! These dudes ARE IT!!! That 𝗞-𝗖𝗶 dude sings like 𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗘 𝗪𝗢𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥 mann. They just got mobbed after they performed. That group aint no joke!!!
My brother was like 😒😒
I was like...aiight.
Now this is how funny the universe is.
𝟴 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗛𝗦 𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗥 he hooked up with them and joined 𝗗𝗘𝗩𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗘 𝗦𝗪𝗜𝗡𝗚'𝘀 production company 𝗦𝗪𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗠𝗢𝗕. He had just discovered 𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗦𝗬 𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗢𝗧 and her group 𝗦𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗔 and my brother was the second act he signed.
He finally listened to their shit closely and realized what I told him from the get go....that they wasn't no joke on that stage and with their music.

That's wild how ginuwine at first wasn't feeling jodeci then 8 months later started working with devante, missy, static major, digital black, smoke digglera, timbaland and Magoo but I love the info of how it all started

At the Jan 1995 Jodeci concert London fans broke down the side doors to get into Wembley Arena. There was nowhere to stand in the place. Absolute bedlam.
