It is a bit odd isn't it? I kinda felt sorry for Jodie in this interview
@zjpdarkblaze3 жыл бұрын
why is it a problem to ask that question? i mean the whole interview was kinda "unique" but why that one is a problem, especially that all questions are already personal? if you ask a man that question, should it make it better?
@daisytallulah72973 жыл бұрын
@@zjpdarkblaze the question itself isnt necessarily offensive, although it is extremely personal (esp for an actress that is so young), but the patriarcal connotations that surround the topic turn motherhood into an expecation for women, rather than a choice. Also for women who work, often such questions are tainted with the idea that if or when they have children, they should/will stop working to take on childcare. The whole interview had such a weird vibe and alot of the questions feel uncomfortable, but I see the question on motherhood as particularly so because it carries such political weight for women in patriarchal contexts.
@zjpdarkblaze3 жыл бұрын
@@daisytallulah7297 yes that is right but this interview has no patriarchal context and i dont think that interviewer has that kind of agenda. Its just an interview with wierd personal questions.

I love the fact she said that she fears technology and that one of the biggest issues is that we need to connect with each other more....couldn't agree more and think she is spot on!! have just seen her in Prima Facie and was blown away...never watched Killing Eve as can't handle violence but what to know what all the fuss was about and after seeing her in Prima Facie...well now I know.An amazing actress with an incredible courage and heart and stamina...incredible performance and have yet to see a review on it based on the substance of the pay and not just fawning over Jodie...seems we really do live in a world where celebrity and fame of a person supercedes the message of the actual play. I'm gonna keep on looking though to see if I can find a decent review of this play....there has to be one somewhere....
