Hmmm ... there was one scene in "The White Princess" (which I binge-watched last week) where a bunch of nobles have chickened out of the battle and are leading their troops away. Jodie - as Queen Consort Elizabeth - chases after them and, from high on her horse, persuades the nobles to return to battle with a blood and thunder speech that made me cry! (done in a posh London stage accent ... as expected for a period drama about courtly intrigue) They all return, and the battle is won! The very first thing I said to myself was "WOOOO! ... Cate Blanchett has nothing on this!" [as I wiped away my silent tears ...] One language I've never seen her do in Killing Eve is Spanish ... ... covered. She speaks Spanish to Queen Isabella in "The White Princess"! Beautifully ... You need to see all 8 episodes of "The White Princess" ... [she's the star - and she's awesome in EVERY episode!]

Talk directly to people. The producers might consider continuing the series as the redemption of Villanelle. She was the star of the show, no doubt. A character that has enormous room to grow. Konstantein was also great, as was Carolyn in her part. I'd like to keep the team in tact as much as possible. I'm commenting after the final episode of season 2. Don't think I've ever been so attracted to a character. Love Vilanelle's animated expressions and the way she experiences her day to day life. A truly great production.
@jjcbot4 жыл бұрын
While Villanelle has a strong work ethic (she wants to do her job "really well") and a natural survival instinct, as when Bill threatened her in Berlin, her softer side emerged with Gabriel in the hospital. Then, after her trip home to Mother Russia (Season 3), and interacting with her family, especially the darkness her mother exuded, the redemption of Villanelle began to emerge. Given her natural intellect, Villanelle begins to put her life into perspective, and realizes she doesn't want to do this anymore. Her "CODE" is emerging before our eyes. She begins to direct her own actions and decide what has meaning in her life. Villanelle always strives to do the right thing as she understands it in the moment. Of course, I'm biased. I've completely fallen for Villanelle. I suspect Villanelle and Eve will have to do battle with Helena and the 12 in season 4. But will the "little chair" make a second appearance? Je t'aime, Villanelle.

@@crabburger6730 For me, White Princess and Killing Eve is where JC truly earned her stripes in the TV/Film industry. The former for her restrained yet emotive performances as a stoic Queen Lizzie and her painful decisions and the latter as a multilingual, psychopathic, whimsical Assassin which has got the whole world talking.

@@crabburger6730 She's come along way from Mad Fat Diary. I tell you that much. The very fact she never got nominated for an Emmy or a Golden Globe is unjust.
