Naftaliten dodie made a video called 'paint' many years back, where she complains how society often judges you for wearing make up even if you feel pretty with it or something like that I'm not completely sure. In that song the line 'nothing wrong with a little bit of paint' reoccurs. Dodie means, obviously, the make up 'paint', but in context with the whole shipping and 'Jodie' thing, it gets a different meaning cuz 'paint' is John's KZbin name and I think OP was really creative and smart with that one :) (that is one hell of a long ass explanation I'm sorry)

actually Jon wanted to write the song bc she was supposed to be in Paris with him. . . She couldn't be there at the time and Dodie didn't agree on the melody he decided on for "their" song. Or Nanalew?) said that it bothered them that fans seem to automatically ship KZbinrs together romantically. I know this was a lot of speculation, but like dodie commented about some stuff being right, i really do believe wybsk could be about jon, and the video addressing her relationship was also possibly about him, especially because they were released so close to each other. I know we joke about Jodie, but the way she looks at him genuinely reminds me of myself. I liked this guy last year, and remember looking at him exactly the way dodie did, but months later, was harshly shut down, and I know even though Jon looks at her in a cute way, it feels different, kind of like how he looked at me.
