Hi Jodi!🙋‍♀️ Thanks for this Friday Face Off! I always look forward to them. I have never tried either of these foundations. The only L’Oréal foundation I have tried is the Infallible foundation. My Holy Grail is the Estée Lauder Doublewear Foundation in 3C1Dusk, or I wear the Futurist Hydra Rescue Moisturizing Foundation in 2C1 Pure Beige. The L’Oréal True Match looks gorgeous on you! Hey Jodi. Thank you for your review. I knew going in that the Nyx was going to disappoint. It definitely settles quickly - especially on my dry skin. It was horrible! I liked the L’Oréal on you from the start and use it myself quite a bit

I definitely agree Loreal is the better choice. I had a feeling it would be. I just wish it didn’t have niacinamide in it. It always makes my face red but at 1% and no more than you have to use, I may give it a shot. Thanks for another great FFO!

Apart from the Nyx serum concealer which I love, I have always thought Nyx base products to be for younger skin so no good for my dry mature skin...thank you for the review 🥰

I love their pencils, and new buttermelt blush and bronzer, but that foundation is not for mature skin. 😂

Thanks Jodi. I have the True Match foundation and I know exactly what you mean about using a matte foundation, I have combo skin and can get shiny after a few hours. I do have to but a little powder over this foundation ( Fenty powder foundation) and it’s pretty all day.

Hi. Maybe it's my computer, but I think the NYX is the exact color match, and the L'Oreal is slightly darker (you probably like the "tanned" look).

Thanks, Stacy! I have done Loreal Infallible, gosh it's probably been 2 years ago now. It always reviews well, it's just a think formula. I need to revisit EL Double Wear. So many women love it and I just don't LOL. Maybe it's time to put it in a Face-Off and give it another try. Thanks for the suggestion!

I recently discovered your channel. I love it. I do have the nyx foundation - can’t stop won’t stop - recent purchase - and I hate to waste it. Is there a brand that you think I could mix it with to make it work?

Welcome! I'm glad you found my channel. Part of the challenge with the NYX foundation is how think it is. You can mix a small amount with your moisturizer before applying and that might help. You might also try a silicone primer if you have one, that helps 'fill the lines and wrinkles' so when you apply the foundation it's less likely to settle into those lines and wrinkles. What would be your favourite drugstore foundation for mature combination skin?

After wearing this Loreal True Match for the past few weeks, it would be my top pick. The coverage is medium and buildable and it has a natural finish. You could add a little powder to the oily parts of your face if need be.
