While in the Military her brother was in my Unit. I was part of a singing group and he heard Us and said, "If you guys record something I can see if my Sister could get you guys signed." Nobody believed him until he showed me his Family pictures and I was convinced. The other guys still were not. Well, he left the Military and who did we see on Soul Train about a week or two later. Also, when Jody started her Solo career her Brother was in the band. Missed opportunity. Much respect to them both Wattage and great interview Carlos!

Jody Watley is a legend. I tried to give her credit on my song that my producer made. He sold me the beat and i gave her credit, but due to being an independent artist she didn't believe in the song. But she won't hear the last of me just yet 😎

The story about Michael coming up to her before his classic Grammy Performance in 1988. I saw that Iconic performance on TV in real time visiting a friend in the Bronx that night. When she won I was so happy for her. When I went to Europe the first time in 87 is when she put out her first record; co produced with Andre Cymone. I was happy for her. I saw her Live with Shalamar 1981 back in New York. It was brilliant. I was a supporter of her and Jeffrey Daniel on Soul Train. Jeffrey was the first one who was really spreading the Backslide(Moonwalk) officially on stage. So it wasn't surprising to learn that he taught Michael Jackson. Jody is really down to earth. God is real. I don't care what anybody say. God is real. To many things happened in my life that led me to believe their is a stronger force at work here. Jody conveyed that in a wonderful way about her own life. Beautiful interview with a Humble Spirit.
