ESSOS IS A CONTINENT, not a country. Bravos is A free city. There are others. Meereen, where Dany was was in Essos but specifically not a Free city, they had slaves until Dany came. She freed 3 slaver cities. Again they put no respect on my Queen.

The golden company was a sellsword company hired out of the free cities. When you hear the Triarchy you are hearing about the alliance btw 3 of the free cities. Volantis, Tyrosh, & Myr are usually at war w/ each other over the disputed lands in essos but at this point in history they joined forces which posed a threat to westeros

The choice was whether to give the queen a painless death by giving her more drugs so that she'd sleep and letting her and the child die; or to try to save the child as was shown - at the price of an agonizing death for the queen. Viserys should have at least asked Queen Aemma to choose.

Look at the history of marriages among aristocracy and royalty of medieval and renaissance Europe. Viserys, to his credit, looked thoroughly unhappy at the prospect of marrying such a little girl. Alicent Hightower is supposed to just be a few years older, 15, in the show, but she is at least looks mature enough to have sex and a successful pregnancy; and already has established a comfortable emotional relationship with Viserys - he feels at ease with her.
