In his defense, he also hit Berrios for the game winner and Brax dropped it. That 4th down and 10 conversion after getting blasted to Davis was huge too. We don’t need him to be great only decent and he’s been so much more than that. Zach can learn from the bench till he’s ready next season. If he isn’t it doesn’t even matter anymore. We’re a legit safety away from being a great defense, and even without a draft, getting Breece Hall and AVT back next year makes our offense so much better. We’ll be contending with everyone next season’

Definitely man, when white throws the ball I don't hold my breath wondering where it's gonna land. No, he's not perfect, but he makes the plays he's supposed to and is a professional quarterback. The most frustrating thing about yesterday was that in the last 4 minutes they did everything right, except get in the end zone. Even giving the ball back, 3 stops, 3 timeouts, ball back in what, 15 seconds? It was a shame they just didn't finish. Red zone plays in practice all week! 🤣

I don’t think the defense played as bad as the Minn offense played better . They didn’t miss tackles , didn’t miss assignments . Minn just blocked better , made cuts faster and were skillfully better overall .

Imagine if we played the best players on the Jets rather than the highest drafted players. Our qb would have been White this whole year, our backfield would have been Hall and Knight with Carter and Johnson as backups (unstoppable), and we'd be sitting at 9-3 or better instead of 7-5. I wonder what other outstanding talent we have that we're not playing because of their draft position (or undrafted free agents like Knight). DeGrom for 5-6 years at age 35 next year is nuts. They are smarter with the 2-3 year deal with Verlander. In June they need to draft arms and hope that Matt Allan is finally healthy enough to start to pitch. He'll be 22 next year and has pitched 10 innings with the Mets organization since 2019 due to injuries.

I also wrote 5 for 185 million and an option for a 6th year at 37 million. Verlander has the same 3rd year option. Two years are guaranteed and the 3rd year is up to Verlander, not the Mets. Same with Max!
