Scotty said a good thing here. Make a budget! And work with it! A budget isn't a paper you shelve away for eternity. It's a practical tool that you work with regularly. It's a powerful tool. All you need is a pen/pencil and a sheet of paper. Jot down your costs on the paper. Not just your monthly costs, but also your bi-monthly, quarterly, costs. What costs do you have every six months? Once a year? Into the budget with them! Put down ALL your costs into the budget. All those little costs you think are too small to put into the budget, they will sum up to hundreds, perhaps thousands of dollars per month. Into the budget with them! Or you will have thousands of dollars running through your fingers, every month. Now that you know your costs, take a look at your not-every-month costs. How do you cover up for them? Time for paper and pen again. Say you pay your insurances every six months. Take that six-months sum and divide it with six, to get a monthly cost. (If it's bi-monthly, you divide by two, and so on.) Then put it into the budget as a monthly cost post. Because you have to put up that much of your monthly salary to be able to pay that cost. Time to stand your income (after taxes!) against your costs. And guess what? It's paper and pen time again! (It's good sales technique. Even if you don't buy my spiel, I guarantee you will remember it.) You will immediately see if you're plus or minus. If you're minus, you'll have to scrutinize your budget. Is there something you could trim down? Or outright cut? Is there a way for you to get extra money? Perhaps change to another job, or moving elsewhere, where costs are smaller? That's it for today folks. There are of course more to think about, like divorce, accidents, getting fired, borrowing money (don't). But that's for another sermon. If you live to what I have talked about today, I promise you, it will be of good help to you. You will be stronger. cheers! / CS

The government borrows because private capital will not pay for essential services. Roads, airports, submarines, national security. Private capital isn't taxed enough to cover these and other national welfare expenses. Meanwhile, this deficit enables private capital to maintain general economic growth, which would collapse if taxes were in line with vital government expenses. The best choice for a race car is manual transmission. It will be more fun to drive.
@tommyhawks85621 сағат бұрын
A manual transmission is more fun drive, when you are not in traffic congestion. Today's automatic transmissions shift faster and more precisely than any human using a manual transmission. The drag strips are proving this daily.

Very nice, except for one quibble. The US government doesn't "need" to fund all of the programs that it's running. Probably 90% of these government programs are prohibited by the 10th Amendment, and actually do more harm than good. Eliminating these programs would be a good first start.

Why not use an engine to power electric motors instead of a heavy obsolete battery?
@Robsan40Күн бұрын
How about a tiny gas engine, like lawn mower or trimmer, who's only job is to recharge the battery, with the car otherwise being fully electric? No need to ever plug it in to charge because the tiny gas engine does all the charging.

@@CommanderMaga - Not what I'm describing. In my example you would never have to plug it in to charge the battery (Unless you wanted to). Plus the car would not run on gas, ever. The little gas motor is ONLY for recharging the battery. The car would run and function like a EV, not a hybrid (though technically it is a hybrid). It would get Hundreds of MPG, and you never have to worry about Range or low battery.
