Michael your death has hurt us so hard. Your gifted skill as a guitarist and teacher were only matched by your lovely easy charm and humour. You had so much more to give, you left the party far too early. A huge void is left behind in the guitarist community. R.I.P

@@randomguitarnote8887 Visually it looks like A minor pentatonic stuff. Edit: I just played along with it. It's indeed A minor pentatonic. You can sprinkle in some A Aeolian as well very effectively.

Didn't even know about Mike till I saw Brian May Resurrection Live concert couple of yrs ago. Those Solos blow me away.....So sad ! Rip

The nod at the end was Joe communicating to do a turn-around to end the jam. Not taking anything away from your comment its still valid, just felt compelled to point that out & now I feel like a know it all. Sorry if it comes off that way, not my intention

I said it when he was alive and I'll say it now he's resting. That was one of the best improvisations I've ever heard. It blew Joe's very nice contribution out of the water. The variation, the emphasis on certain notes, the tone, the technique. Amazing. I've been coming back here for years. Brilliant.

Hearing the news today, I tried to think how many hours of his KZbin videos and lessons I've watched through the years and how he may have, unnoticeably to him, delicately influenced me. Our playing styles are by no means similar, but still, some of his things embedded into my playing, without even me realising before writing this comment. Thank you, Michael. Rest in Peace.

LA90004 Michael Casswell's input has been bothering me for a couple of days because it reminded me of someone else. Then tonight, it came to me... Steve Lukather. If Luke had been sitting in on this, I'd say his improvised-take would have been very close to Michael's.

MC was one of underrated guitarist, he’s very creative and skillful..but i agree JB acted like a true gentleman, he was being himself and acknowledge that MC a good blues player as well..if you guys have seen the video MC played with GG, you can clearly see GG was kind of struggling in that video, never seen guthrie gets so nervous

Bonamassa has a perfect blend of Clapton, Eric Johnson and Jimmy Page, feels like 4 different guitarists are playing one of his solos. Sounds great.

@@cgavin1 In the same way that someone like Slash copied their heroes? Pretty sure he inspired millions of people. JB has inspired countless guitar players, he is almost single handedly keeping this music alive.

Bonamassa is so precise it's fantastic, and Michael Casswell's little switch from tapping to the whammy on 3:15 sounds so good to my ears. Great players

I think we knew what to expect with Bonamassa here, we know how complete as a blues guitarist he truly is. For someone like me, who knew of Michael but wasnt as previously interested, this was a massive pleasant surprise for me. Props Caswell, some serious chops

Bonamassa is phenomenal and one of my fav BUT! I ve never ever heard such amazing playing like caswells before with going smooth at overall but amazing attacking notes upon that amazing licks... These two taking it to another level imo!

Mike's playing was great but what I liked the most was how he falters a bit. Its like he's not used to having to try so hard. That is why great artists of any discipline *need* other great artists to drive them forward.

Amazing what you can do with the fingers if your nails are strong enough. A real pleasure watching and listening to someone whose tutorials I've studied when he was teaching other people's songs. This is great to finally hear Casswell freed up. And Bonamassa was a real pleasure to experience close up like this. Thanks for the video!
