The older Joe gets the more he sounds like John Mayall. And that can only be a good thing. His guitar playing gets better and better. How can that be? He played better than anyone else years ago.

The man has Gary Moore's finesse with Jimmy Page's raw attack. With this record, he's really digging deep on the Chicago blues style that made his early career.

This song is absolutely got "Still Got The Blues" written all over it. That syrupy fat neck-pickup tone is even very similar to the tone that Moore had on that song.

Killer song. Songs in minor keys don’t always grab me but this one did. Others have been saying Joe’s voice keeps getting better and I agree. He seems to have followed his hero Clapton’s path and become a legitimately good vocalist. Of course the guitar work on this track is superb and tasteful serving the song beautifully with soaring passages that complement the melody. If there were an equivalent in lead guitar to the pocket bass player this is it. So well done. Congratulations Joe.

Amazing job. Joe is undoubtedly a genius, he manages to combine seemingly incompatible styles - blues and classic hard rock. Joe is inimitable: he uses the frenzied pyrotechnics of flaming rock, intertwined with an authentic blues presentation, which is possible only for someone who has really experienced something serious. At his concerts, Joe Bonamassa puts the audience "on their ears" with his skill and pressure. Bravo maestro!👋👍💥💥💥

Since then, my wife and I have seen him play live 6 times, most recently at Blackpool Opera House last April when I got front row seats. As expected, he didn't disappoint, and this track continues that tradition of a brilliant song, beautifully played, and sung with Joe's increasingly strong and soulful voice. Superb!

Hello, Sonya! As always, you have a very descriptive way of saying things! What moves my heart the most in this performance is the vulnerability, and ultimate loyalty, found in the man. There are mountains to climb….unsteady footing in the shifting sands of life. Yet returning home to a loved one is fundamental to happiness. Very touching! Self-awareness, vulnerability, responsibility, picking up the pieces and moving forward, the very essence of life! Sustenance for the home, and the love within. Joe's voice and guitar work are outstanding. Beautiful portrayal in sound, lyrics, and video!❤ -------------------------- *Google Translation:* Здравствуйте, Соня!

LOL - Love Joe and have seen him many times since 2005. He's signed my guitars etc etc, but lets not get ahead of ourselves. He can play pretty fast, but he doesn't really shred at all and he is pretty restricted to blues/pentatonic shapes. He's certainly one of my favourite artists, but there are dozens of blues, rock and jazz players that are more skilful. In fact I would put Josh and Eric Gales ahead of him.
