Go watch his version of "Breaking Up Somebody's home", at the Greek. It's so much better than this one! I don't know what it was about that gig, but almost every song could be put out on a record as studio quality! The recording is better; the band is tighter; I think the arrangement is better, and I definitely think JB played better. Something must have been in the air at the Greek! Or maybe something was in the air at Red Rocks🤣

Red Rocks in Denver is hard to set-up. ...Its hard to place the soundman in the correct position and even when you do, if the wind starts blowing a tad and swirling through there it can change everything real quick.

The Greek is an amazing performance... But the wind and being outside is gonna mess with the acoustic!!!

The quiet part of his guitar solo is something I find too long, self indulgent, and not true to the song. I’ve seen him many times. The best solos when he brings the music down to a quiet tempo are shorter and keep the crowd in the game. Joe you are my favorite all time guitarist. I’ll suffer through these solos if I must, but please just one per concert.
@sandragriffiths96925 жыл бұрын
Don't put yourself out. JB can and does play anything and play it better than most living guitarist and a lot of dead ones, allow him a little self indulgance now and again, he's earned it.

@@sandragriffiths9692 You Damn straight he did! My Lord he's been playing every since he was a little boy, He even got a small part with BB King himself how awesome is that! Pay no attention to those who have no clue what the blues really means to the millions of folks like you and I. JB gets better and stronger each time I see him in concert or just listening to him in my car while driving to work. IDK, but what I do know is he has away lifting me up in more of a positive feeling before I go into work, and it makes me feel good, do you get what I'm saying Lol?
@sandragriffiths96922 жыл бұрын
@@bobbieharper Oh yes, I get what you are saying. He is doing so much for blues and encourages new talent and plays along side other great musicians. His band are superb and they have paid their dues, some with SRV who is my other guitar god and between them and Robert Cray they lift me up when I need it. Gary Moore and Peter Green did the same, but JB and RC are the only living ones now, there will be others but I haven't found them yet! Enjoy, I know you will 💙👌👍🤗
