Joe Bonamassa and his Guitar-tech Mike Hickey stopped by at GuitarPoint on their day off before the start of Joe´s Germany Tour / October 2015. We all had a great day, talked about guitars and enjoyed Joe and his band next day in Concert.

Nice demo, thanks. You might want to add in the title that it's a double necked guitar, Mosrite made a single necked Joe Maphis model but it had a different body shape.

I owned a Joe Maphis 6/12 back in the mid 60's (mine was white) Great sounding, but very neck heavy. Had to attach guitar strap to the top neck which caused the 12 string to constantly go out of tune ... wish I still had it.

We used one in the Velvet Illusions, in 1966 and 1967, in Yakima, WA and Hollywood, CA. If you see a photo of our band, you'll probably see it in the photo, along with my Mark IV.

My dad bought a brand new one in 1967 we still have a guitar with the original strap guitar case an owners manual I think he paid 350 bucks worth it💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰

A way to fix that is to make the body heavier by securing a 1 pound fishing weight (or two of them) in an electronics cavity. Sure, the guitar's heavier, but it's a cheap enough mod that will make the guitar stop neck-diving.

Somebody told me they’re making brand new mosrite guitars in Los Angeles California I don’t that’s true or not I want to the Facebook page but I couldn’t get any answers I don’t know what they cost but I’m gonna try to find out because I really like these guitars

I dunno about Los Angeles, but Japan's always making new ones and importing them. Also, Dana Moseley has a hand in making more somehow; I think with Front Porch Music. You'll probably only find Ventures and Ventures II (Slab Body) models as guitars and basses there, though. I think Japan also copied the semi-hollow body Combo models, but they didn't copy all of Mosrite's different models. Some (70s models, mostly) are too obscure and not particularly in demand.
