You should check out a side project Joe played on called Black Country Communion. It's a little more hard rockin'. Other members of BCC include Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple), Jason Bonham (son of Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham), and Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater). The track I'd pick is "The Great Divide."

You guys have to watch Joe Bonamassa and Eric Gales live play "John Henry". Its one of the greatest guitar battles I've ever seen. Eric plays his guitar upside down. So the thinnest string is on the top. Its incredible to see him matching Joe but playing everything upside down. It would blow your guys' mind. I'm telling you. You'll also be able to see what Joe can really do. It's one thing to hear it. It's a whole other thing to see it in action. He goes off.

Agree with Dorian. Suggest their live version from Amsterdam of "I'd Rather Go Blind", cover of Etta James song. You'll hear some Joe that gave me a deeper appreciation for his skill. Been to 5 of his concerts and have to say he's one of my favorite live blues performers. Now Beth Hart's voice will simply blow your socks off with her range, feel for the song's lyrics that get translated deeply, soulfully, genuinely. Love to see you react to this one.

Joe is from Central New York, where I live so I have known about him since the late 80's early 90s. In Syracuse we had an event called Party In The Plaza downtown every Wednesday in the summer and it always had live music. I actually saw Joe when he played it around 13 or 14 years of age and he blew us away! I met him after the show and he signed a dollar bill for me, which I inadvertently used on filling up my gas tank later that night lol. I saw him again in Syracuse about 3 years ago and he is still in peak form.

At a live show of Joe Bonamassa on Long Island NY Joe was ripping this great solo on his version of Led Zeppelin's "How Many More Times" and he brought it down real low, the crowd was intently listening, suddenly from across the auditorium some dude yells..."Aye!, Yo!, Joey Bag-O-Donuts!". The whole crowd tried not to laugh but sorta snickered a bit. You could see Joe heard it and was struggling not to laugh along with the audience. True professional he held it together and moved on...still one of the funniest concert moments I have experienced

Joe Bonamassa is hardly new to the scene. Guitar aficionados have known of him for many years. I'm not sure why he's not more "mainstream." Perhaps it's because rock/blues radio is a thing of the past? In any case, he's a phenomenal musician. All the "greats" know Joe. I think that Joe never sought fame. He's in it for the love of music. Period. That may be why he's been "under the radar" so to speak. But, do yourselves a favor George and Ryan, give him a good listen. You'll be pleased. May I suggest you check out "Song of Yesterday" by Black Country Communion? That's Joe's former band. Phenomenal song! Joe is NOT the vocalist on that track though. Just listen to his guitar sing. I think it’s awesome that they reached out to y’all. Here’s hoping that more artists see the value in having guys like you introduce new music to their followers who may not hear about it otherwise. Add my vote for more blues on your channel. Check out Joe’s acoustic concert at the Vienna Opera House. I love every song they did that night, but the cover of Robert Johnson’s Stones in my Passway from 1937 is killer. kzbin.info/www/bejne/lYrYp5h4hNKpp80

The paradox of the blues is that it's music about heartache and loss, but when you hear it it makes you feel good!
