@joshuaengle55913 жыл бұрын
You guys have to watch Joe Bonamassa and Eric Gales live play "John Henry". Its one of the greatest guitar battles I've ever seen. Eric plays his guitar upside down. So the thinnest string is on the top. Its incredible to see him matching Joe but playing everything upside down. It would blow your guys' mind. I'm telling you. You'll also be able to see what Joe can really do. It's one thing to hear it. It's a whole other thing to see it in action. He goes off.

Joe is from Central New York, where I live so I have known about him since the late 80's early 90s. In Syracuse we had an event called Party In The Plaza downtown every Wednesday in the summer and it always had live music. I actually saw Joe when he played it around 13 or 14 years of age and he blew us away! I met him after the show and he signed a dollar bill for me, which I inadvertently used on filling up my gas tank later that night lol. I saw him again in Syracuse about 3 years ago and he is still in peak form.

At a live show of Joe Bonamassa on Long Island NY Joe was ripping this great solo on his version of Led Zeppelin's "How Many More Times" and he brought it down real low, the crowd was intently listening, suddenly from across the auditorium some dude yells..."Aye!, Yo!, Joey Bag-O-Donuts!". The whole crowd tried not to laugh but sorta snickered a bit. You could see Joe heard it and was struggling not to laugh along with the audience. True professional he held it together and moved on...still one of the funniest concert moments I have experienced

Perhaps it's because rock/blues radio is a thing of the past? In any case, he's a phenomenal musician. All the "greats" know Joe. I think that Joe never sought fame. He's in it for the love of music. Period. That may be why he's been "under the radar" so to speak. But, do yourselves a favor George and Ryan, give him a good listen. You'll be pleased.
