BOC is a great band with iconic songs and truly talented musicians. I got to see them a few years ago and what a show!

BOC is one of the greatest bands of all time. So much variety, so much depth. And you have all the cool fringe stuff like the Imaginos project to dig into. So many layers here... and so damn good live too!

I've followed BOC since the first slbum....in my opinion the greatest American " hard rock " band. The absence of the Bouchard brothers was a huge blow to their blueprint. Their contributions were the secret weapon to the fantastic weirdness of their songs and image in my opinion. I wish they could reform....Allen would be surely missed ; however with Blooms voice ( sadly) all but gone this would give them a huge shot in the arm and hopefully a new lease on their writing and live shows. Right now BOC live is one click from a Buck Dharma solo show. No disrespect to Buck.... I really miss Eric's vocals as he was also key to the BOC signature sound.

I completely agree. The band went downhill after the Bouchards left. I lost interest after Spectres. Saw them on their 1978 tour one of the last laser shows.

Loved Godzilla too John. I wish this was live cause I would've loved to ask Joe if he had ever heard a parady to Godzilla called Chowchilla?

Great interview with Joe, John. Nicely done as always. Love to hear from Donald "Buck Dharma" Roeser or Eric Bloom, the only two remaining original members of the band. Or Albert Bouchard.

I met Klaus Flouride at a party in SF in the ‘90s and we had a great conversation - turns out we were both Joe Bouchard fanboys. 👍

I would really like to hear someone from the band talk in more detail about working with Sandy Perlman, Richard Meltzer, and Patti Smith on lyrics, which they did a lot of in the early days. Not so interested in later involvement with Michael Moorcock. Yes, I know that Buck is a fucking genius, but c'mon! I sent away for those lyrics back in the day, and got back a green and white dot matrix print out that didn't help all that much. Might have been Sandy's fault.
