All of these people that are dissing Doja Cat for what she is doing, they need to have the same energy for your favorite artists. Like XXXTentacion, Lil Uzi Vert, Playboi Carti and whoever else that they like that has done the same thing as Doja Cat has done. Because she’s not the first person to do this. People overestimate how much influence music actually plays on people's day to day life choices. And considering these guys are hip hop heads, it should be more than clear that young people are very much able to differentiate music, music's meaning, and intentions. Probably more so than the adults who think they need to be sheltered. All of these guys were listening to hip hop growing up, none of them have been locked up for murder(As far as I know.) And billions of other hip hop listeners haven't either. So why would this song suddenly cause an influx of devil worship, If the criminal content that we all enjoy hearing in rap music didn't? Isn't that exactly what people used to, and probably still say about rap? It's devil music? EVEN WITHOUT THE IMAGERY? Let's hold ourselves to higher standards than this please. We're better than the double standards. It's just music.

It's so crazy how they say no one's talking about the song, yet they all are. Anyone who pursues a career or pursuit in anything will be criticized because that's just how the human race functions. As a former heavily indoctrinated Christian, I'll say this, your beliefs shape your reality. So what you believe in IS real and what you don't believe in ISN'T. On a side note, it takes courage to put yourself out there. It takes even more courage to be your authentic self because: look, everybody has something to say. Doja Cat's transformation and the way she portrays herself has helped me realize that you're never safe from criticism, fuck what other people think (it's a projection anyway), and you should do what you want because you only have one life. Plus, she's such a troll on purpose and I think it is to show all our hypocrisy and how we take (some) things too seriously.
@MiillieMesh
@MiillieMesh 7 ай бұрын
Period. It's like some people rather women who are artists just be these constructed ideas of beauty & sexuality. Keeping them in a box in their mind, especially in rap music. Because if this imagery was from a rock band or white singer it'd be less of a big deal. But of course, anyone can always ruffle religious feathers. That's easy because they're so one dimensional in thought. It's like these old heads don't want rap to evolve.

I think she's trying to move into the market that she always wanted to be in. And I think after having success, the way she figured doing that is to first purge her audience and then make a drastic change. Especially since we are very hip hop focused, we forget that this imagery that she's using isn't new. This has been in the rock scene punk scene for a very long time. First people came in. My mind is Marilyn Manson and Ozzy Osbourne. That hasn't been a lot of big people like them for a while. But that is delay genre music that has been out for a very long time and I might be where she's trying to take a step. But you can't do that if she's tied to hip hop. Which is why I think she's been doing a purge to see if she has enough clouts left to make this turn

Life is more spiritual than we realise. You are ultimately influenced by anything you give your attention to. What is strange about art is that it serves as a sort of a portal between the spiritual realm and the physical realm. Anyone who has ever created will tell you that the best ideas come when you stop trying to create with intent. In fact, most of an artist's "intentional" work never sees the light of day because of how mediocre it turns out. Most great and humble artists always say that their greatest ideas come from God, and He just used them as vessels to deliver these ideas. Truth is that all great ideas are not from the artist, only the extremely vain/ignorant take full credit. Yet still, what the humble artists don't understand is that just because an idea comes from the spiritual realm - it doesn't mean that it comes from God. The Bible in 1 John 4: 1-6 says to test every spirit to see if it is from God. That every spirit that does not confess Jesus, is not from God. Which means if the ideas do not glorify God in the name of His son Jesus Christ, it is not from God. Every idea has a spiritual agenda. Let's think of it this way, if prayer and worship music edifies the world and summons the goodness of the kingdom of God - music and videos by artists like Doja summons things from the dark side of the spiritual realm. Soon we start noticing our world becoming more like the art these artists create. Kids wanting to be d*mons for halloween just like Doja, p*p p*lls and drinking le*n like Future, or even have a WAP like Megan and Cardi. This explains the famous saying that: "life imitates art more than art imitates life". These artists are ignorantly allowing ev*l spirits to use them to model our society and world after their own realm, just because the artists find it "artistic" or to have a "shock value". Most times it's less about selling your s*ul, and more about unwittingly allowing these d*mons express themselves through you. Not realising that you are being instrumental in literally "raising h*ll".
@dawb86
@dawb86 8 ай бұрын
"Raising hell." As in allowing lower level consciousness/vibrations to rise up and be manifested into the physical realm. Youth that go out and do things with no sense of morality or principles are literally said to have "raised all kinds of hell." ALL of the artists taking part in the making of ANY kind of music, videos, performances, etc. that go against their own sense of morality or that is in fact lacking of any at all have in essence "sold their soul." So many in fact have now that it's become almost impossible for so many to spot the difference and a ridiculous amount of the masses are just sheep being led astray by the pied pipers of the dark prince....

Like she said Its a very profitable sub-genre of cinema. Flip the one who made the dumb comment about "Music is Music and Movies are Movies" Go on Einstein! Movies and Music are both equally intertwined into pop culture and the masses and its always been like that. @@claualexis1737lol they’re different. Music isn’t taken in the same way as film and that’s the difference. Music is more influential not necessarily because of the products, but how the respective products are taken in. Music can be heard subliminally more often throughout the day, requiring less concentration. A movie, unless it’s constantly on in front of you can only have such an impact on society because it’s not constantly being reinforced. That’s why bad songs on the radio become good songs if you hear it enough times. A movie, though impactful, is limited by access and therefore not constantly being reinforced.

Mel is on point. The reaction y’all having is exactly what Doja is hoping for. Don’t talk about music leading younger people when Joe was just talking about how he didn’t want to hear all that “positive shit” in music just the other week 😂😂 Kanye wasn’t fucking frowned upon for putting out a gospel album, he was criticized because he poses as this heavy follower of Jesus and then does un-Christian things in the media the very next day. And also the album was ass.

If you haven't listened to a piece of music, you have no business critiquing it. It's ridiculous. So much time wasted in chatter, when they should have just watched the video and/or listened to the audio track FIRST, and THEN spent the next 8 minutes dissecting it. And I say this as a musician with a WIDE variety in taste of music and artists.

Scarlet is a character, and she is showing her devil side, and her angel side., especially in the new song she washes off Scarlet and shows her softer side with the angel and devil sides. People need to open up their minds, and if you know anything about true satanism you would clearly know that they do NOT actually worship satin, they actually believe totally different, and in mother earth, animals and it is nothing like people think. The main thing is people need to educate themselves and that is the main issue here. And anyone that says "She should Fail" Good luck, as she is number 1 right now and has 3 top Billboard charting singles.
