I'm glad I'm not the only one that recognizes the presence that veterans have when they get on the mic as compared to this new generation. It's one of the more glaring differences and it speaks to the fact that a lot of these new artists come from the DIY/social era where A) anyone can gain a following and B) a lot of artists just piggy back whatever's popping at the moment.
