And you did it again. Great insights and valuable advice for filmmakers. Daniel, when did you watch all these films and read all these comics you talk about with Joe here?

What an interview. I'm fucking amazed by you, dude. I never went to film school - I literally just hounded screenwriters of TV and film, even hanging around the studios, until I was actually given a chance to haunt a writers room at the BBC. Been a screenwriter for clocking 10 years now. You learn from talking to filmmakers like Joe, or writers like Andy Walker (who is my inspiration, and he gave me some incredible guidance back in the day). You're a natural with artists across the board, I can't wait to watch your other interviews, especially FUCKING ZAHLER. Keep this shite up. Also, I'm glad Joe mentioned White Jazz - Chris Nolan got some (bizarre) praise for writing the colour sequences of Oppenheimer in first person - in the script that is - like he's breaking rules for doing that. White Jazz - an adaptation of the James Ellroy novel - is written entirely in first person, and it was written waaaaay before Oppenheimer. I've a ridiculous script library, should you ever need some screenplays, or wanna chat film, just holla. x

Love love Joe Carnahan Daniel fair play getting an interview with him it's a shame his last film Copshop was very overlooked as that was such an awesome old school movie also a shame his uncharted adaption of the game never has seen the light of day those are two big things that come to mind that deserved better attention Imo
