Blair needs to settle down, while I see his point I don't agree with it. If players don't like to be DFA'd or released before hitting a 'Plate Appearance' contract incentive, then either play better, or don't sign a contract with that clause in it. Simple as that.

that wasnt the point ... he was good enough to get the other 395 appearances and he was rooked out of 200k by a cheap owner. Performance had NOTHING to do with that move. Nothing at all.

I think the true point is to offer a distraction . The Jays front office took their #3 hitter (and best overall player) to Arbitration last year, and probably will again this year . Jeff the schill is pointing out that other teams "are worse" . Remember when he used to do that about Baltimore and Chris Davis ? .... not so much anymore .
