Joe Cocker always gave his all in all. No matter how lit he was, he gave epic unrivaled mind blowing 😳performances. What's pretty trippy, decades after these types of legendary performances, Joe could still belt out them wails, screams etc...figure that in with decades of smoking 🚬 a lot of products that are smoked, was also a 2 pk a day smoker! 😱 up until the 1990's. Pretty amazing that unlike many rock n roll idols of the past, or any popular public singers, groups, tv or movie stars from that era, got older and their glory years long gone, end up broke and forgotten...Joe did very well! He had an amazing ranch in Crawford Colorado filled with priceless furnishings, along with a wonderful marriage, and countless fans. ❤️ Joe will never be forgotten!

I met Joe he was wasted big time and so was I he gave me a ticket for his concert the next night. I went along and he gave a performance that blew my mind he was still off his head but never missed a beat. I think he never got the recognition be deserved he was one of a few that I would call a legend along with Leon Russell. Thanks for some great memories and great songs. RIP

I met him at a Stones party in L.A. & went to his house a couple days later. I sat with him & he said I could come anytime & paint on the beach. I went another time but he wasn’t there. I sat in a room where all of us were so high watching tv snow but nobody said anything until someone said, is there something wrong with the tv? That’s when we all said yes. He called me & my sister the Jap sisters.

This album was released in the U.S. a few weeks before my 3rd birthday and "Cry Me a River" has been my go-to song to to cope with every feeling ever since. My grandmother was a huge blues fan, loved the Stones when they came out, and this album was played constantly at her house. I couldn't sing the words "Cry Me A River" correctly at such a young age but instead sang "Cry Me Bibber," which I still do when I hear this song when no one is around. I'm so grateful for the gift this incredible performer gave me and the rest of the world. Peace and love to all of you in this trying time of COVID. We'll make it through this pandemic one powerful song at a time.

I never heard Joe and Leon and company play a bad version of this. I so love this vid for the striking closeups of then-youthful standouts on a stage full of beautiful souls, Delta Lady Rita Coolidge and Chris Stainton. I haven't seen him in a few years but i expect he still rocks that exact same B3/Leslie combo on weekends at little mountain clubs in Colorado. Heartfelt remeberance for the biggest portion of these players who've passed through the Veil. See you in the next world. I won't be late.

Some of my junior high school friends and I snuck into Kenan Stadium in April of 1970 to see Joe Cocker and his Mad Dogs and Englishmen. That band included the nucleus of what later would become Derek and the Dominoes. There must have been twenty people on stage backing him up and Joe was incredibly drunk. At one point, he stopped mid-song and puked off the side of the stage, but nobody really noticed because there was so much other music going on. That

Cry Me A River Now you say you're lonely, you cry the whole night through; Well you can cry me a river, cry me a river, I cried a river over you. Now you say you're sorry for being so untrue; Well you can cry me a river, cry me a river, I cried a river over you. Bridge: You drove me, nearly drove me out of my head; While you never shed a tear; Remember? I remember all that you said -- Told me love was too plebian, Told me you were through with me, and, Now you say you love me; well, just to prove it's true, You can cry me a river, cry me a river, I cried a river over you.
