I did this in the 80's. But we did never flew out from the ramp if there was a tailwind. I think it was prohibited. One had at least been excluded from the air sports organization. But I'm from Norway. Maybe it was stricter there.

Vous avez tout Faux !!! Ce gars sait tres bien ce qu,il fait car il est pilote Tandem au Msp . et il a des centaines ,peutetre des milliers de vols ... Oui ,il est vent arriere , mais cette rampe le permet , car le ridge est vertical de 1500 pieds , et il n,y a qu,a plonger pour prendre la vitesse ....mais c,est sûre c,est spectaculaire ...et le passager du vol apprecie beaucoup ... Je vole a ce site depuis 30 ans , Delta et Parapente , et je vous assure , qu,il n,y a pas de probleme

Très mauvais exemple pour un pilote tandem. Il fait prendre des risques à son passager. Pour répondre à vos propos, entre le parachutisme et le vol libre j'ai presque 45 ans de pratique et je peux vous affirmer que des champions, il y en a plein les cimetières. Dans ce milieu il n'y a pas de place pour l'approximatif, même si ça passe neuf fois, il se peut que la dixième ne passe pas . La devise des gens responsables est certainement " ETRE ET DURER".
