Love both these guys. Met Joe after a show last weekend and he was just as sincere as he is here. We talked about some of the same problems and environmentalism and veganism. I've only known the band for a few years, but they are now my favorite current touring band.

@LysergikFuneral3 жыл бұрын
@@demondrug7788 Not backstage, outside by the busses. Was walking to my car after and noticed several people hanging out nearby with a fenced off area for that and some event staff. Waited about an hour after the show for Joe (was freezing cold so left after he came out).

The world needs more people in high profile positions, those with influence, to come forward like this. Music is a common language and using it to bring awareness to important global issues is such a noble act. Good job Gojira!👏 We can all do our part and be our own drop in the bucket. I've been vegan for 6 years and its been the most positive change in my life🤘🌱

thank you joe for speaking up, and addressing the problem with respect and intelligence (good intention is not enough by itself)... but i have to make a shout out to the interviewer (Frank) for the questions. Dedicating time and thought on the matter is itself not a neutral act and it takes courage and responsibility to do it, it was easier to ask the usual questions instead of delving into a complicated matter. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, from a fellow activist. We will see our children growing!

Love Gojira But I gotta say I could never be vegan. If he believes humans are nature, I hope he understands that we’re animals too. Nature is beautiful and brutal. If animals eat other animals, then humans will eat other animals.

I understand that going vegan can be a very important and difficult choice, made because of the empathy and the compassion. The matter with the difficulty of speaking about it to the masses is to be found in the "nazi" behaviour of many of them. Speaking about polluting the world or about the global warming and all the bad that humans do to Earth is the kind of thing that legitimate you to thrash those STUPID ones that does not agree but you can't make the same when it's about making a choice that involves your nature as an animal that is omnivorous. Lions and Tigers and Sharks and all the predators slay other animals to eat and we are predators, too. Ok, we are kinda different from the rest of them (fortunately we're not just carnivorous) so one can choose to avoid eating meat, but many vegans PRETEND other people to make the same choice so, in my opinion, that's the problem with them, that's why you must be careful when talking about veganism. As I can remember vegetarians have existed long before the vegans but they never forced other people to do as they do and nobody ever felt bothered by them. Joe Duplantier is great man, not just as a musician... Sorry for my poor English and greetings to all the metalheads from Italy. Love.

In any progressive movement, there will always be certain individuals that seem more "pushy" and aggressive than others, but that doesn't change the fact that the progressive changes are important. Veganism is another one of these important changes. Switching to a plant-based diet (that includes fortified foods) is the best way to reduce unnecessary animal suffering, environmental harm AND potentially improve the health of humans in the process. So basically, don't let the few pushy and annoying vegans put you off. Going vegan is a great thing to do and I'm so glad Joe from Gojira has been spreading this message. ✌
