The reason I love spooktober is because it’s the time of year I genuinely feel happy. The smell of fall, the anticipation of Halloween, the time we as adults get to dress up & feel a sense of childhood happiness we thrive to achieve as adults. It’s nostalgia, having kids & getting them ready for their school Halloween party & remembering back to when it’s was one of the most important events of the year. Growing up in Colorado picking out a costume even though you knew your mom was going to make you wear a coat because it was snowing 9/10 times. I guess it just brings me back to happiness.

I’m a diehard bussin fan but I always look forward to and love spooktober the most ever since I saw how hard the boys go back in 2020. I get pumped for it by August but spooktober just marks the beginning of the best time of year. Footballs started, the weathers cooling down, you get to watch the Halloween movies and the pods are always extra 🔥 with the bus set up. Been a rough couple months with 2 car accidents in 2 months but spooktober and the boys always gives me a sense of something good and fun to look forward to.

I love Spooktober because it’s not just a month to enjoy all things spooky but it’s a way of life. The decorating your house and yard to be the best in the neighborhood, the pumpkin patches, apple orchards, festivals, the chill in the air where you can break out the hoodie and shorts. LETS GO BOYS SPOOKTOBER IS BACK. I'll start this off by saying I was never much of a Spooktober fan in my first 20 years of life and then I found the boys on January 7th of 2020. Everything is different now about this time of year. I wake up on October 1 and just feel different. The leaves start changing colors, there is a nice crisp to the morning air that allows you to wear that favorite hoodie, and my favorite thing, the pumpkin spice iced latte is back. There is nothing better than getting one of those bad boys on your drive to work and sipping on it throughout the morning. Thank you Taylor and the boys for showing me this great time of year and opening my eyes to everything I was missing out on.

I love when the leaves turn to shades of tungsten and rust. I love their inevitable descent back to Mother Earth, from whence they came. I love the slight chill that crawls up your spine, into your shoulders, and gently kisses the back of your neck when that first fall breeze creeps its way into the Autumn air. Not unlike the feeling you get when you put on a spooky film or when you take your place at the back of a queue for a haunted house. I love a noon kickoff on a crisp day.
