Off season to do list: 1. Extend Joe, anyone who wants to disagree, come up with your new hire first 2. 1 year deals for CC, Todd (plays with HEART, can platoon 3B and DH), and maybe Holliday. 3. Maybe the hardest, but trade Ellsbury while eating a good portion of the contract for medium level prospects, to a mediocre team that expects to go for 2nd wild card and has no lock down CF (SEA, STL, TEX, SF, maybe OAK lol). 4. Can combine with Ellsbury deal, make a call between Cooper and Austin, trade for a pitcher/CF, or just sign Lorenzo Cain for quality consistent CF depth. 5. More for a year from now, we don't need either and would be cool for them to stay on their own teams, but will prefer Machado over Harper for defense alone.

John McNamara no kidding, all the talent but plays without heart. He's 34 but for his defense and speed, at a certain price he's still worth for certain teams. A release or waiver won't work, he's no Pablo Sandoval or Carl Crawford kinda bust. Think a change of scenery, pay cut, and more starting job competition will make him hit around 275 ish again with 20SBs per year for a team not in the Bronx.

Any Astros fan that wasn't nervous when we were down 3-2 probably hasn't lived in Houston for very long. Great series by the Yanks...I'd be surprised if these teams don't meet in the playoffs again soon. No one thought they would have come this far...congrats to their fans and their organization. We all know they are the "it" franchise in MLB, and I for one am honored to have played against them this year. Love how the 'Stros are the first team to have ever beaten they Yankees and Red Sox in the same postseason...all these years, and it took a National League team to come in here and wreck shop. ;)

he might be the MVP of the regular season but in the playoffs he did not hit well like all yankee team. see his postseason batting avg. good pitching brought them that far in the postseason but not their hitting. hitting was awful with .209 team batting average. best hitter in the postseason was didi with .250 batting average.

Greg Bird is slow as shit, at least Hosmer can hustle around the bases and is better defensively 5. Move Gleyber up to cover 3B for the 2018 season, meanwhile Machado comes 6. Decide who's going to start at LF, Gardy or Clint Frazier 7. Figure out the situation with Castro, start Torreyes at 2B or try and acquire someone better at that position 8. Gary Sanchez needs to work on his defense, specially his blocking skills, or try to acquire Salvador Perez (which will most likely not happen) 9. Fix the batting line-up 10. This won't be until the 2019 season. But, decide if Gregorius is gonna stay and play SS or if Gleyber is gonna take over that position once Machado takes over 3B

This is a younger faster team and the Yankees do not steal bases or play aggressive baseball. Example: brett gardner one of the fastest guys in the league, only has around 15 stolen bases all year. Giradi should've done one thing differently game 7, tell your batters to take pitches! Especially Judge's last at bat, if I was Giradi, I would've had him take the first pitch no matter what. And I wouldn't have Judge bat second and Didi third, switch them around! That’s what Astros’ fans and most smaller market teams reality is...whether they all want to eventually grasp the more than likely scenario that they can’t sustain these kind of runs into the future once their star players begin to command higher pay days.. Astros are definitely a good team... but they will be this good for maybe 2 more years before they begin to decline in talent, they are an “older” team than the yanks are now....Yanks easily have 5 to 8 years with a deep farm system loaded with talent whom the yanks will be able to pay big money contracts too.
