One of my favourite pieces of all time. The magic and nostalgia he has projected in his music is truly one of life’s wonders.

It's honestly beautiful how there is Japanese, Spanish, Russian, English, and other languages for the comments on this video. Joe brings the world together.
The Miyazaki / Hisaishi combo gave us the best animated movies ever made. I remember being 8 years old and ditching Disney for Ghibli without really understanding why at the time. The soul, the poetry, the humanism just won my spirit as a kid. And still now as an adult ... there is no coming back from such profound movies, so many others feel shallow... My understanding of the movies has evolved growing up, but never my amazement at their deep and fair moral and values.
Thank you for your words. I too feel purified from the melody. Never give up! Your traditions hold an entire world of weight, compared to the USA and their traditions. Thank you for staying as the rock in the stream of live my friend. Hold steady, who else will?
I've been having a rough time with school and my mental health, but this song made me a tiny bit happier and ready to sleep in order to face a new day. I wish the people watching and listening to this piece well wishes for you and your loved ones.

Every time i hear his pieces, i feel like. There were mozart, beethoven, bach, chopin, etc. Now, i am living in his era. His pieces is so classical somehow and eternal. Very beautiful. His music sound simple but touch deep inside my soul. I am honored i can hear his piano playing though from youtube…

Hisaishi's music is gorgeous, but he doesn't have anything on those four composers you named.
Still my favorite of all time. We chose this song as our wedding march, and I got the scene of Ashitaka and San lying together tattooed on my arm. Thank you, always, for gifting the world with such beautiful, deeply-felt music.

Don’t know why but I started crying when listening to this
The message about nature, the theme of this piece, seems to be sitting on a cozy sofa and listening to the warm and sincere advice of the grandfather. This is really a great artistic work that only he can do. This work shows the greatness of true art throughout his entire work. He reminds us of the law of 'All the great things are simple'. And he knows these things. He last placed this piece at the Studio Ghibli 25th Anniversary Concert. He really wanted this song to stand out at the whole concert.
His music is beautiful, and I feel somehow nostalgia.

I personally like the songs that Mr. Hisaishi composed, and I think the words "life" and "peace" are the best match. I think that the sensibilities differ from person to person, but I think it's such music that permeates the heart no matter who listens to it. I think it's a song that should be listened to all over the world.
Princess Mononoke is by far the best and original anime "move" with more to the story than what meets the eye. from the director of Ghibli saying it was based on the industrial age, how world war 2 effected so many people over the world. how famine made people struggle, how lost and suffering was overcome by the love for one another. The fact that Joe Hasashi has once again amazed this writer only speaks volumes for those hearts his music touch. Bravo Mr. Hisaishi and continue to inspire those around you!

Every time the melody of this song plays, in my head I see the scene of millions of sprouts growing, the majesty of the mountains and forests, and feel so peaceful and full of hope like in the movie. And this is also the piece of music that made me want to learn to play the piano. Thank you very much, Mr. Joe Hisaishi
my Spotify randomly choose this song from my playlist while I took a train, I just felt more touched even though I've already listen to it thoudsands of times. I was so touched by watching people getting on and off the train, having their lifestyle and their own stroy but not telling to others. Old lady get off the train with the vegetable she bought from market of another train stop... Guy tired from his work and having a snap... This song is not just for Ashitaka and San, I also felt how everyone trying to thrive in the society.

When I was a young boy and I didn’t know who I was or what the world was and how it would change me I saw this film. It taught me that wildness and nature and humanity will always clash and be loving inside of me. Thank you Hisaishi Sensei for letting us into this peace through music. As an adult who has struggled with homelessness and feeling at war with their own body, this song brings such peace because it connects me to the wild boy who’s been looking at the green with me all along. またこの人生で会いましょう。
