In my chest I breathed in a shallow breath I remember the breeze that blew on my hot cheek The hands and feet which are bound before the future Are freed by a quiet voice So nostalgic that I want to scream out, is One life, the midsummer light At your shoulder, swaying, the sunbeams streaming through the leaves The white ball at rest The petals which have been scattered by the wind The invisible river which carries both Singing while flowing on Secrets and lies and joy Are the children of the gods who created this universe The heart which is bound before the future Someday, will remember its name So loved that I want to scream out, is One life, the place to return to At my fingertips, the summer day which doesn’t disappear -- Lady Elwen

Or English Stylized: There is a story deep inside my heart So far away but I will never forget All that wind in my hair and All that love in the air and So much to see, oh I learned to breathe One deep breath, all of My memories begin to fly When they touch my world We’ll sing a lullaby Soaring through the sky When I close my eyes it's there The road that’s taken me to you No matter where I go I can see the truth All the choices every day Fate will take me there someday The sun shines through the leaves Taste that special golden breeze Never regret Don’t forget Each precious thread That summer’s day Come listen to the river with your heart To feel the universe, let everything go Above the stars twinkle Time is calling your name now Just take one step What’s lost will be found Every smile you see and Every song that you will hear Every star you wish Upon with flowing tears will erase your fear When I close my eyes it's there An everlasting road ahead A voice within the night Gives me wings to spread All the secrets, all the pain Those tomorrow fate can change Believe what you can’t see Flowers dancing in the breeze Treasure it all Feel your soul Forevermore That summer’s day When I close my eyes it's there The road that’s taken me to you No matter where I go I can see the truth All the choices that we make Play a part in all our fates The sun shines through the leaves Feel that special golden breeze Never regret Don’t forget Each precious thread That summer’s day . -- Shinsekai (?)

@Tony Tran Nonsense. Whether its anxiety or morals, you just dont make Joe wait for you specially in her case, she just did the vocals, the piano piece can stand alone. In fact, its a concert to celebrate this profound composition of Joe for this particular studio ghibli animation, the vocals are just add-ons. Its not even on the movie. Duh.

Since you did a wonderful job with Futatabi, I'll do my best to translate the first song - Inochi no Namae (The Name of Life) Aozora ni sen wo hiku (A line's drawn in the blue sky) Hikoukigumo no shirosawa (by the white clouds left behind by a plane) Zutto dokomademo zutto tsuzuiteku (Always, no matter where, and always going) asu wo shittetamitai (As if it knows [what happens] tomorrow) Mune de asaku iki wo shitteta (I drew a shallow breath) Atsui hoo samashita kaze wo oboeteru (As the breeze brushed my hot cheeks, I remember) Mirai no mae ni sukumu teashi wa (The hands and feet that bind [me] before the future) Shizuka na koe ni hodokarete (Unbound/Free me in a soft voice) Sakebitai hodo natsukashii no wa (The nostalgia that makes [me] want to shout/scream is) Hitosu no inochi manatsu no hikari (The one life in the midsummer's light) Anata to kata ni yureteta komorebi (The light shining through the trees, swaying on your shoulder) Tsubureta shiroi booru (The white ball that was crushed) Kaze ga chirashita hanabira (The flower petals that have been scattered by the wind) Futatsu wo ukabete mienai kawa wa ([and] the river that is not seen/invisible that carries both) utainagara nagareteku (which flows on as [one] sings) Himitsu mo uso mo yorokobi mo ([In] secrets, lies, and happiness) Uchyuu wo unda kamisama no kodomotachi (Are the children of the god[s] that created the universe) Mirai no mae ni sukumu kokoro ga (The heart that binds [me] before the future) Itsuka namae wo omoidasu ([I] will remember the name some day) Sakebitai hodo itoshii no wa (The love that makes me want to shout/scream is) Hitosu no inochi kaeritsuku basho (The one life, the place that I want to return to) Watashi no yubi ni kienai natsu no hi (The summer day[s] that won't disappear at my fingertips)
Ayaka Hirahara is a wonderful daughter with a clear and pure voice, whose singing you can listen to endlessly. She not only sings beautifully, but she also immerses herself in the atmosphere of the music and text. That's what makes her such a soulful singer. She is like a gentle colorful flower petal that moves beautifully with the wind!

@niji.sateenkaari88354 жыл бұрын
Singing slow japanese isn't that hard since it has so many vocals. Most of it is not that hard to pronounce once you geht a hang of the "sh"-sound and the "r"-sound. You'll get sh-sound if you try different sounds with your tongue (just listen closely) and to make the r-sound is not that hard either. To make the R-sound, try saying a sharp, a bit rolling german or spanish R, (not the english R). Now, shortly hit the middle of your mouth's "ceiling" with the tongue while saying "R". It is easier if you try to say the r-sound in the middle of a word, like "Kore" (this), "Atarashi" (new), "bara" (rose) and so on. After that, you can try to begin words with R, like Rika or Ritsuko (both are names). Maybe needs a little practice, and it is different to explain too, but that's the closest I get to the japanese R-Sound. Google the lyrics and sing away :)

inochi no namae - I take this beautiful song as a requiem for victims of atomic bombings dropped in Hiroshima & Nagasaki in August, 1945. a few years ago, I was feeling lazy and sitting on a couch on a hot humid summer day in tokyo, and just happened to watch a documentary film of Hiroshima & Nagasaki on TV.. this song was played back in the endings and was matching with the painful memories of victims, their families, and citizens.. I got really overwhelmed by grief. since then every time I listen to this song, it makes me think of my loved ones, feel really grateful for everything I have and wish to never repeat whatever kinds of tragedy..
