THis man is a genius, and I don't use this word often. His songs show an amazing blend of insightful, intense, well-put lyrics, good, memorable melodies and his singing is outstanding. Amazing. Love his songs and performance. Not well known enough, that's for sure. Sunday papers, for example, brilliantly satiric. Live performances just amazing. Hope he was inducted into the R&R Hall of Fame long time ago. He is certainly in mine! If you read this, Joe, my hat's off to you. COngrats for your fantastic work over the years! You have given greater insight into some very important human dilemmas, -- just wonderful. You have my profound apprecation! Many thannks! Ted

I just love Joe's ability to not only continuously reinvent his music, but to reinvent the same song! Magical.

I wish the interlude from 3:14 until the end of the song would go on forever. It's an exquisite riff.

My band is thinking of doing this song and I stumbled upon this version. Joe's an amazing pianist. Very under-rated. If we could pull this one off or even the guitar version...WOW. Come check us out sometime at www.imthemanband.com Love live Joe Jackson's music!

I also love how he incorporates Pachelbel's Canon in the song. Just brilliant!
