*I MISS YOU 82!* Steppin' Out is near the top of my Eighties Faves --- along with Forget Me Nots by Patrice Rushen and Love Come Down by Evelyn "Champagne" King. Ze mesmerizing Korg KR-55 synth melody und the sweet accompaniment of Das Glockenspiel!

From all songs of the 70s, 80s, 90s, 20s... this one is in all details burned in my cerebral cortex for the rest of my life - i wil take it with me into grave. I'm a drummer, not a piano player, but I could play the arp, chorus and the hook line out of the pocket if someone want me to - at any time! That's the magic of musical genius.

I love it so much! The original is definitely too short, I always wanted this song to go on for at least 6-7 minutes and there I have it, finally. Thanks!

Forever classic🖖🏽. The long version was definitely a gift🙃. You could probably do every dance that ever existed in the 80's to this one song. I know we did. This is 1 of those classics you'd expect to hear on Cold Case. They had the BEST 80's jams !! Just teleport me back for like one year😫please!

On the studio version, Joe played the bass line on a synthesizer. I read that he played the line at half-time and then had it speeded up on the mix. When he went out on tour, Graham Maby played the line on the bass guitar. Just shows you how talented Maby was, and still is.

Excelente disco!

SUCH a catchy tune. This takes me back over FORTY years, to when I lived in Edmonton. Great days, they was.. Only trouble i have is what he means by the 'Other side' I have a thing about what lyrics are saying, because the sub conscious hears them 'and sort of records them and they can mess with your head in the long run.. if they are sinister and subliminal. Confused yet??
