lol When the Mrs and I first started here we would get together with about 4 other people, pick someone new on KZbin with a new video, and turn it into a chatroom. We would leave about 3 hundred comments, all in conversation and wait until the video owner came to figure out what was going on. A lot of fun. Been a long time since we did that. I think we need to do that again. There really is nothing like it... and I can only imagine what it's like to put up your 1st video and have that happen!

Yep! You got it! This is where I would stay out of it though and he would normally reply back to you or maybe other people would get involved. lmao... and then you end up getting stuck on my video with other people fighting away.... another tactic is to ask a question so that people feel the need to come back and answer. Were you originally offended by this fake comment that was intended for these things?

Thanks you more for checking them all out (I've been busy, busy). Just so you know though, when I put up a video I always share it out once, but I do not expect that everyone comes and watches. Sometimes I do put out a few and it might seem like I'm being pushy, but really I'm not... I'm just getting them out there. The videos are here for whenever people get to see them. No pressures from over here.

But what did you expect, a piece of paper to look better than him? lol If it looked better than him, then it wouldn't really be him and if it looked just like him it would actually be him, and if it didn't quite look as good as him person, then it would be a drawing! Thanks again... just had to point that out for everyone to read. Some really critical people leave comments sometimes because they don't understand that it's a drawing and not a photo.

Thanks. I suggest turning down the brightness of your monitor or increasing the brightness of the room you are watching my videos in. The brightness of the flash is no whiter than the white of the background of this page. I don't want to be responsible for seizures, so if anybody experiences problems, they should consult a doctor before continuing to watch my videos.

Yes! You nailed that one right on the head. I put them away. Sometimes I leave them out for a couple days and some of them freak me out. I mean, you can tell they are drawings of course, but out of the corner of your eye or with a quick glance they do look like people sometimes. lol But I don't throw them away, I just store them away.

Thanks for all of the great comments! No, I don't go to school to answer the one question on a different video. Yeah, I like saving the eyes for last... pretty much doing the whole portrait in backwards order. It keeps things fun and challenging for me. Thanks again, glad you are enjoying the videos.

I wouldn't try learning from these portrait videos as these are for display, and even if they weren't it would be just too hard because of how fast it goes. I plan on making tutorials soon, but they will be on my Atomsphere5000 channel.

I'm trying to figure out what you mean. If you mean the streaks of light reflecting of the hair, I use a chalk pencil. The dark is charcoal, so the chalk goes over it nicely... if it was pencil, I don't think the white would work.

No problem. For this one I used charcoal and white chalk pencils. Charcoal typically comes in a solid form, not in a pencil, which is great for large works. For smaller works like this, the charcoal pencils seem to give you more control over details.

I was making reference points... the corners of each eye.. the top, bottom and each side of the head, and on the inside for the hair. It goes too fast to see but I am actually using the pencil to measure in between distances.

ok sure. It's a little different working with than regular graphite pencils... but the end results look nicer I think. At least on video, because regular pencil tends to be reflective, and you can only get so dark with it.

lol! he's a friend just messing with me trying to get people to fight with him on my video. It's a tactic we use sometimes to get a video more views and comments. Kinda silly... didn't work very well this time.

That would be a tortillon, or blending stump. You could buy them online at dick blick, or they would be found next to the pencil and charcoal drawing supplies at a Michael's or A.C. Moore.

That is actually a chalk pencil. It works well along with charcoal. Most charcoal pencil drawing sets come with one or two chalk pencils.

Yeah, quite a few bad ones. I don't know how accurate they expected me to get when each face was smaller than the palm of my hand!!
