every commentary, every archived footage of the men who knew Bruce Lee, sparred with Bruce Lee, had nothing but the highest respect and love for the man. When you can get champions to humble themselves about some stories about him, makes me appreciate the amazing things he accomplished in that small window of time that he was with us

@HardHardMaster

@@niamcd6604Complete nonsense. Mixed martial arts are thousands of years old and modern day MMA as in UFC was kicked off by the Gracies to promote their BJJ style. Lee really only knew 1 style and not even very well. Then tried to glue some random exotic techniques on his basic wing chun knowledge and so it's no wonder Jeet Kune Do is a fail.

@@HardHardMaster They were doing full contact martials in Chicago in the 60s. John Keehan had tournaments which pitted different martial art styles against each other. So, even in the United States full contact martial arts were being practiced before UFC. There was more than one style that combined grappling with stand up fighting. Gen Lee Ju Jitsu, in the early 60s in New Jersey, combined Karate, Ju Jitsu, Boxing, and Savate. Yes, you are correct about Mixed Martial arts being practiced thousands of years ago because Chinese monks practiced numerous styles to be well rounded fighters. Some people say that Bruce Lee took from their concept with his art.

At last someone who knows what they talking about in regards to Wing Chun and Bruce Lee amongst a sea of crap written by people who don't know their elbow from their arse commenting and believing that the peak of a Martial Art and a fighter is the watered down version that they see in a ring or cage where it's become a sport. Originally developed to defeat maim even to kill. The people who were taught and learnt Wing Chun from GM Yip Man especially in the early days tested their skills on the streets of Hong Kong including Bruce Lee even though he spent spent less than 18 months not the full system and only part time he was going to school ,he was a natural with drive and would have been 1st class at anything he wanted.He put Wing Chun on the map in the west which has become a double edge sword for it. Jeet keen Do has a large basis from WC there has been nobody of note developed by it unlike WC where people have trained full time 7 days 12 to 15 hours for a number of years to learn and develop have never taken part in a published fight.

@@briandunne2153 states '''at least someone who knows what they're talking about'' and then proceeds to prove a complete lack of realistic and critical insight topped with delusional myths. I listen to people say "well he wasn't that tough because he wasn't a fighter, never competed in full contact matches...". I really don't think he needed to compete in those matches to be a deadly fighter. You don't get all these karate champions in full contact venue to talk about you with such respect if they didn't think you would make a great fighter. The mean streets of Hong Kong gave Bruce all the fight experience he probably needed for a lifetime😅 There is no doubt some of the best sport fighters of that era ALL respected Lee's talent and ability to fight.

after watching - no idea what Bruce Lee's philosophy was. Okinawan styles are fast, hard striking styles. all good and great athletes have heart, stamina, focus, will power. Bruce Lee was an anomaly, like Michael Jordan. their physics-defying abilities may be the result of mind over matter. will power. intention. are those attributes developed, or innate... don't know. but his speed, like Michael Jordan's hang-time, was something to behold.

Bruce Lee never fought for real !!! Just some useless words like this one. Why he never challenged real fighters on tournaments, championship where hundreds peopel were watching with cameras??? BECAUSE HE KNEW THAT REAL FIGHT WILL EXPOSE HIM.

This is why Bruce Lee combined every art, made it his, he mastered every art, he was not happy with these arts, he combined his with everything else, why do you think everyone tried him and failed, ended on the ground don't ever remember you sparing with the great Bruce Lee, must of been in my last life, I am 61 years old, I followed Bruce Lee. Maybe I missed that, my mistake, if it's mine, I'm sorry

Joe Lewis and Bruce Lee would have done great in MMA. There was nothing like that back then. They would have been excellent MMA fighters in today’s time with MMA training. Joe Lewis would do as Machida has done

I was painting a apartment complex once and one of the tenants windows was open. Now I know what was going on but I did not at the time. Apperantely there was a scizo living in one of the apartment and he had not been taking his meds. The police showed up later in the day to collect him. However when we where painting outside his window we heard about an hour long monolog from the man inside. He had an entire fantasy about how he used to train with bruce lee and him and bruce lee formed a plan to rob the hells angels. However eventually during the monolog he betrayed bruce and started banging his wife. DUring t he retelling of the wife portion of the story he began master baiting furiously to the point where we could hear it very loudly. When bruce lee found out this guy was doing his wife he was furious... but this guy kicked his ass or so thats what he said. It was pretty amazing to peer into the mind of a person who was completely mad and off his meds. We where laughing our asses off as quetly as we could outside his window. Listening to him go on, but it was also a little scary to know someone could be that unhinged.

Joe Lewis is certifiably insane, tried to ride Lee's coattails, had a fallout with him and recanted every positive thing he ever said about Lee once he realised Lee used him and tried to steal credit.

c'mon, man. No need to clickbait. It was not a brutal fight. It was a sparring session that was discussed in the last 30 seconds of the video. Nothing wrong with that and it's great that you dug this up, but let's be real about it

Nice video but the title (Brutal fight against Bruce Lee) is bullshit. Or is that part two. Maybe not.

It's 100% bullshit. There is no evidence that Bruce EVER had real full contact fight against proper, serious fighter. True is that Bruce has no ability to do it. He was small, not very strong and easy to knock out by real fighters. That's why despite the fact that he could enter any competition to prove his skill never had a fight. He was also seriously addicted to drugs, always high on cocaine and LSD. There is much more bullshit and false legend around him that real fighter.

@@snd7622 Well we could listen to your lies or we could listen to the testimony of all the great fighters who trained under him who were world champions like Ali, Chuck Norris, Bob Wall, Joe Lewis, and the list goes on and on and on. There is a reason all the best sports fighters went to him to learn how to be better. Bruce Lee never did drugs. Bruce was a maniac about what he ate and would never consume food that was bad for him because he didn't want his training to be corrupted. If you are going to lie about someone at least try ones that are even remotely believable.

@@JosephDiveley Words of ACTORS only prove that Bruce was rubbish. I could beat him easy. He was always on cocaine and LSD, bodyweight 65 kg ( my dog is bigger). You should check Bruce's gym card online, he was weak like average 16 yo boy. And most of all : HE NEVER FOUGHT FOR REAL. Fight score - zero. There is nothing like lies or true here just proven facts : Bruce never proved that he could fight for real. And by looking at his weakness and tiny body weight hudreds people in his era could kill him in 30 seconds in the ring. And he knew it that's why all he did was naive choreography on films and talking bullshit.

Bruce Lee said himself that styles is crystallization and that you shouldn't practice to achieve a style. Be free flowing like water , I don't think these people who studied with him really listened to his words
