She did, but after the break they moved the trash can next to the wall, so the ball Ricocheted off the wall and into the trash can, whereas Dave had to get a clean Swoosh without the help on the wall.

This is so much fun! I love that Cybil got it into the bucket on the first throw! She was pretty good with those cabs as well!

But notice when Letterman was throwing into the garbage can it was pulled away from the wall so he would need to drop it in perfectly, whereas when Cybil was throwing not only was it pushed up to the wall it was positioned along the curved wall such that hitting the wall either from the side or behind the garbage can pretty much guaranteed it would go in. But then again BOTH of her throws went into the taxicab.

I was there that day, up in the balcony. I was in the standby line. Joan Osborne sang "What if God were One of Us" - first time I heard that. I then was in the lower section the next day, which I had tickets for. That one had Richard Simmons. (I thought Richard Simmons replaced William Shatner, but apparently it was Cybill Shepherd who replaced William Shatner. Can you imagine him throwing footballs into a cab?)

@@dennyluster3089 I don’t disagree 70s-Cybil was incredible. She was a pageant winner for God’s sakes. But ANYBODY can be beautiful in their teens and 20s. Very few women could pull it off into their 40s like Cybil and stay at the top of their game. Many beautiful young actresses flamed out early or pursued other interests but kept their youthful beauty: Phoebe Cates. Her contemporaries would have been Lynda Carter, Connie Sellleca, Meredith Baxter Birney. Veritable Mount Rushmore. Beautiful TV actresses in iconic 80s shows with longevity. Being an actress in the 80s couldn’t have been easy.

Maybe Miss Shepherd mentioned it as I did not watch the whole video, but she was at the very first Super Bowl. She was filmed by Steve Sabol of NFL films participating along with many other young women, invited as local cheerleaders adding color to the festivities. Five years before appearing in “The Last Picture Show “ she was in their highlights of SB1 between the Packers and the Chiefs.

So did Joe come out of retirement to play for the Chiefs after this then? I thought he just signed with KC right after he left San Fran. He’s talking about being retired here but he took KC to the AFC Championship game in ‘98 and this episode is from ‘95.

Joe retired after the 1994 season. He played in KC for two years after leaving SF and took the Chiefs to the AFC title game in 1993 - getting knocked out after banging his head on the turf after a near sack. His last game was a loss in the 1994 AFC Wild Card game in Miami.
