Not necessarily. Remember the rules are the same for all the QBs regardless of the era. But the fact that playing QB was a lot tougher back then makes him the GOAT in my eyes. People will argue that it's Brady, but Brady started twice as many games and played for 7 seasons longer and that's probably due to having far more protection from the rules. What really impressed me about Joe was his accuracy... just watch the Denver SB... every pass was in the bread basket, including the bombs to Jerry and John in full stride.

Game was in Philly and he threw 4 TDs in the 4th quarter. Never saw a QB play like that to close out a game. still haven't really.. It was sensational

Great player. But he was a *fumbler*. At the most inopportune moments. If Craig doesn't fumble during the 1990 NFC Championship, Montana likely has another Super Bowl. They are both the most clutch, or clutchest, if you will, quarterbacks that ever played the game, with Manning certainly in the running during the season. It's a tough league. When my son was very young he made a mobile of Joe. After his son played a basketball game. We waited in the lobby for Joe to sign my son's mobile. He was 6 yrs old. Joe so Jimmy and he signed his mobile and asked Jimmy how he's doing. Jimmy was to shy to look up to Joe and say hi. But that meant the world to him. Thank you Joe. Best to you Dave from Sebastopol

Good point when I took the Constitution Test in 8 the grade. It studied like crazy. They said if you don't pass you have to do 8 the grade again. I was not a good student but I slammed that test. Joe is right if you have a big test in life you must practice allot and your confidence will take off. You have to be ready. Thank you Joe for being a Great example. Best to you Dave from Sebastopol

Joe only made it too 4 Sb's , So he got beat and was setting at home. Brady made it to 10# , And could have won the other 3 as well, if it wasn't for the helmet catch and other . 7 gold and 3 Silver medals.

That logic is so insane that it's almost hard to comprehend. Brady has 7 rings and Montana has 4. There is no way to spin that fact. It's not about how many times you lose but how many times you win. Brady is the greatest winner ever and that is a fact.

@@williamkoscielniak7871 exactly and let's not forget Brady played during the bounty gate/collision era for over 12 years, so Brady took a beating as well
