I lost my Dad in Vietnam when I was 18 months old. I have so much love & respect for all our service men (& women) who served & sacrificed. If any of you are reading this, thank you so much for your sacrifices....of which I know you've made countless. May GOD bless each & every one of you over & over again. Much love & respect from East Texas 💖 And thank you, Joe Nichols, for bringing more awareness 💖

Im a navy veteran of the Gulf war and I experienced life as it was. Get up and do my job or don't and loose everything. That's every person that walks through this life. So if you can enjoy the small things and get through tuff times then you are doing alright!

His book Lone Survivor is outstanding it really shows the bond the we have in the military and shows the lengths we will go for our buddy's, teammates, and brothers if you have not read it I strongly suggest it this man did some amazing things in afghanistan and for this country and we should all learn for him and the selflessness he has shown along with the rest of the men in this video

Thank you for this song sir. You stood for our great country, fighting for the safety of all of us. You did a wonderful job and continue to. I may not be in your shoes. But all the lyrics in your song. Like looking up in the sky and crying saying "Thank you for 1 more day." Patting myself on the back, each time I have a little win. It's the little things. Just like you sing... I'm doin alright for the shape I'm in!

I lost a hell of lot of friends. But I'm doing all right for the shape I'm in. Life is what it is, but if you work hard you can make it better. Your friends would want you to. At least that is what they tell me in my dreams...that used to be nightmares, but now are comforting...and they love my two sweet grand daughters and so do I, they are my reason for living.

To all the men and women and their families who serve, have served and have given the ultimate sacrifice of life. A simple “Thank You” doesn’t come close to enough to express the gratitude and respect and love I have for you. Life is all about choices and because of your dedication and commitment and service, as an American, I’m allowed and privileged to have them. Thank You from the bottom of my heart!
