It's time Penn State wakes up and understands that Joe was not part of the Scandal and gets over trying to forget about him. He was great for College Football, his players, and Penn State.

It was a shame when the removed the Joe Pa statues. They should begin honoring him again.

He was a great coach and a great person who did alot for college football and players. I think something but it was proven to how much and for how long.

Joe Pa was thrown under the bus. He was an innocent man, but an easy target.

The media loved the 'sex scandal' aspect of the story, as well as the ratings it would garner. I don't think they cared about justice for those kids. How do I know? When the indictments against Jerry Sandusky were handed down, DOZENS of reporters gathered outside JoePa's home. How many were there outside Sandusky's home? ZERO. Anyone angry about what Sandusky may have done would have gone to him first and given him a piece of thier mind. And perhaps a chance to deny the allegations. (Or his lawyer to do so) Then Paterno can be given an earful later on.

Well, that might have something to do with the fact Paterno didn't have the personal integrity to fire a psychopathic creep after he had substantial information a great deal was amiss. The man was a failure as a human being.
@BusinessUnwrittenАй бұрын
Paterno being the face of the University and NCAA Football certainly required that type of attention.

@@BusinessUnwrittenit didn’t, the media really dropped the ball. They would have you think Sandusky was coaching during the scandal… the major outlets have recently come out in apology for ruining paterno’s legacy and the poor handeling of the scandal… powerful people (the mayor, governor) were major donor to the second mile which was the second biggest charity in the state. they used their power to push the scandal more towards the public uni then the charity to wipe everyone’s hands clean. Also the president of the school and athletic commissioner admitted after sentencing that paterno asked them to look into the incident (he heard from his assistant coach) and they admitted they buried it without his consent

@ Paterno got screwed during this incident. He escalated the situation to the appropriate authorities. There should be 3rd party intermediaries to report such incidents at schools. Maybe there is now.

Fall? I hope my team falls into a top 5 football team in the entire nation as well lol.

They need to win a big game against a top team. It looks like they have a long shot at the Big Ten Championship despite Indiana and Ohio State playing later this season. Then they'll be looking at the college football playoff. Penn State has yet to have that super star offensive player since Saquon.

So are you gonna do a story on the Syracuse/ESPN sex scandal that was going on at the exact same time???? Bill Farmer was actually ON staff at Syracuse basketball who was a serial molester of his adoptive children. For 7 years before this broke, ESPN possessed a recording of his wife admitting she knew what he was and what he was doing. ESPN said they didn’t know what to do with the recording. Jim Boeheim slandered his accuser and said it was only for money. Yet ESPN, who at the time employed 45% of their staff at that time from Syracuse, didn’t give you daily updates from outside the Carrier Dome like they did from Beaver Stadium.

If you would like us to cover the story we certainly will! Thanks for the comment and story!!

@@BusinessUnwritten Oh please do!!! I think it was a very unreported story, especially when the amount of Syracuse alumni at ESPN is factored in.
