I'm very impressed how he has the audience completely under his control. When he's getting guesses about his kids' height from the audience it could have been very quiet and awkward but Joe's subtle motions and calm demeanor keeps the audience engaged completely. He's so completely different than other comics and is a real breath of fresh air.

Joe Pera's awkwardness is a very natural form of comedy, where you're not quite sure what to do or how to take him, and then he gives you an out for feeling guilty about it.
