Joe won AGT at 16. Before his teens he was touring. He's been playing with the best for a long time.

48 years on guitar, been paying my bills by playing guitar since 1990. I'm turning 62 this week, and I wish I could name everything,(even 1/4) that I play.. the way you do... "remember the 9 is a fifth of your 5" is like a foreign language to me... So..kids... learn theory.. you will be glad you did. synchronicity?

Smokin' Joe Robinson won Australia's Got Talent. It's not often a 17 year old instrumentalist can achieve such a feat. At that time he played finger style ala Chet Atkins and Tommy Emmanuel, using a thumb pick bass rhythm, and fingernails for melody. He's since perfected flat picking country, pop, rock, jazz and blues in a manner that you can only say... superhuman talent!

Michael, great to see you excited about this masterful performance. I found Joe about two months ago and can’t get enough. His Summertime is an amazing blend of acoustic and electric guitars. Such a talent and to see you analyze this song is great! Thanks! One last thing, could you take a look at Corey Heuvel’s Cemetery Gates by Pantera? You won’t be disappointed!

Been following Joe for years. His romps in New York jazz clubs when he was doubtfully old enough to drink are legendary. He just moved from Nashville to Montana where he is happily settled with his new wife. Although this is some smooth electric guitar work, he's one of the best acoustic finger stylists on the planet, a Chet Atkins, Tommy Emmanuel protégé.

Absolutely! And Joe's left hand dexterity is ridiculous. Nobody can question Michael's ear and music theory/knowledge or passion, but I wonder if Joe consciously thinks about the theory while he's playing? I know SRV spoke of playing for feel and going for what sounds good. He said when he got thinking about where he was on the neck -- that's when he'd get into trouble.

Love you reactions to music!! You should check out the band (The Warning) These three young Sisters (Dani lead guitar, piano and lead locals) (Pau drummer, piano lead vocals) and (Ali Bass guitar, piano backing vocals). from Monterrey Mexico who are highly skilled with there instruments and vocal abilities shared between guitarist and drummer. In 2014 Thay got recognized on KZbin doing a cover of Metallica's Enter Sandman that hit 24m views when thay were very young 10,12,14yrs old. About a year ago thay were invited by Metallica to do a new cover of the song on there 30th anniversary of the black album, (What A Accomplishment). Thay have put out a few albums since then are blowing are up the Rock seen!! Thay have open for huge bands like Def Leppard, the killers and were the last opening act for the Foo Fighters before the tragic loss of there drummer 😢. Thay are currently touring with HaleStar and pretty Reckless and just announced thay will be opening for Guns and Roses in South America. I think you have fun reaction to this video that was shot in two hours with 16 iPhone and one drone in Monterrey Mexico. (EVOLVE) kzbin.info/www/bejne/aZC1c2Oqh65paJY ( ENJOY 😉)
