Graham Hancock, formerly a foreign correspondent for "The Economist," has been an international bestselling author for more than 30 years with a series of books, notably "Fingerprints of the Gods," "Magicians of the Gods" and "America Before," which investigate the controversial possibility of a lost civilization of the Ice Age destroyed in a global cataclysm some 12,000 years ago. Graham is the presenter of the hit Netflix documentary series "Ancient Apocalypse."

@@GardenofEdens Your entire comment is written in bad faith. You claim Graham and Rogan just want to believe, while Flint merely wants to educate. Yet during the video Graham presents ample evidence and points to back up his point of view, while Flint refuses (repeatedly) to even consider the points Graham is bringing up, treating them with ridicule and disdain (as he did when Graham started showing examples of underwater monuments). Graham also pointed out how the archeological community (and this smoothly translates to science communities at large) stifled and stomped out any opposition to their maintained views, ignoring evidence from their fellow members who were later proven right. They merely wanted to educate, just like Flint here does. There's a special place in the afterlife for folks like yourself.

It is common to see this type of "conflict", but in order to develop and find the real and best solutions and findings, one has to learn to consider each and every approach otherwise you will miss information. no, that's not what he "basically" said. he categorically said that despite hancock's claims, from everything that's been studied, there is no evidence of a lost civilisation. before making a judgement about someone on what they say, it's really important to understand what they say. hancock has nothing - absolutely nothing - that is evidence to support his extraordinary claims. his argument is that "well you haven't excavated the entire planet, so you can't rule it out".

I am a wood cutter in Nova Scotia, and am happy to be living in an out of the way place, so I am no expert in this field. That being said I am very interested in this subject. The thing is what I see here more than anything else is human nature. Flint has the demeanour of a sibling of mine who treats me in a very condescending way the way he is approaching Graham. That is very much what I believe is going on with archaeology. We have a group of people who spent a lot of time in academia and have been told how great they are since the senior years of high school. The thing is that they are not looking at the things that disagree with they already believe, this again is in human nature. I don't know about all the things that have been shown I am a pretty solid skeptic, but I don't like the dismissive way people like Graham are being treated. If you are resorting to character assassination and ridicule I'd say you have run out of good arguments. If mainstream scientists want to refute sites such as yanagomi, go there and study it extensively and refute it with evidence after a fair examination.

A perfect representation of how archeology works. And why it's the least scientific of all the sciences! When it ignores so many locations, even when they make logical sense to investigate, or better yet are pointed out by those outside of their profession, it makes you wonder how much knowledge of the past humanity continues to miss out on because those responsible for discovering this information are so restrictive!
