As a Palestinian, I want to emphasize that we're rooted in our land, and implying we should leave is insulting. This is our land and our grandparents land and we will not be refugees. We would rather die here. The reluctance of neighboring countries to absorb us is due to our desire for self-governance, leading to tensions as seen before in Lebanon and Jordan. The solution lies in establishing a single, inclusive country where everyone is treated equally. Israel's denial of basic human rights, restricting movement and access, results in a cycle of conflict and resentment. I worked all over the world but cant fly back to Palestine. Im not allowed in the Israeli airport nor in Israel, and I was born there, so were my great grandparents. Im not allowed to even drive in many roads since they’re Jewish only. Its absolutely crazy.

Not trying to be a dick, but if you can't come to an agreement with a dominant more advanced civilization you are going to lose. It's happened thousands of times through the centuries. You brought Israel to the point where they don't want to put up with dealing with you. I don't necessarily agree with what Israel is doing, but I'm smart enough to know they are the dominant and you refused to negotiate. All or nothing is a fools game. You will lose everything without making a deal and getting rid of Hamas. The only way. Sadly your leaders screwed you in the past and probably too late to fix. I know there are people playing both sides as well, but that only made it more necessary to make a deal.

It not about what is right, just, or fair. It is about children not dying and being mutilated. Both sides are to blame in this conflict and the cycle will never end. Isreal is simply to strong and cannot be forced to move. That is the US's fault and we need to stop supporting them. However, the quickest and most expedient way to save children is for other countries to take in the Palastinians and break the cycle forever. It is not right, just, or fair. It also rewards bad actors(Isreal and thier supporters) for bad behavior. However, it will save the lives of innocents now and in the future. At this point, to me, that is the only thing that matters.

People don't know the history of middle east and why US-UK defend Israel with no limitation. Israel is born from religious nationalist getting the support of UK after funding them during WW1.Yet UK promised to arab people an arab empire/state if they help to fight against ottoman empire. Finally, UK had never the will to fulfill their promise because thei considered that would have been crazy to let oil to "savage animals" (yes racist but still the same think today). Israeli are only people from europe and US (and north africa). They came from 1920 with UK help. Everything about religion is bullshit. it's just a question of settlers and colonized people. But in US and UK the zionist lobby is very strong because they are in very high position in strategic business (finance and media), and Administration. They don't care about UK and US, they work for only one country : Israel. Just look : they took weapons front Us militay stock to give it to Israel and bypass the Parliament authorization. I hope american and english open their eyes about how free Gaza is more than US and UK ...

Yeah thats because ALL wars are open ended genius, there is never some magical deadline or date its a fucking war you do know most wars have gone on for years even decades right? Ukraine is still in a war with Russia (a country with nuclear weapons) but we don't see protests on the street asking Russia to ceasefire, nearly 400,000 deaths in Yemen were due to conflicts with the Saudis where was the outcry for that? Over half a million deaths in Syria caused by Hezbollah where were the people on the streets asking for a ceasefire then? I wonder why all of a sudden everybody has got into such an uproar about a conflict in the middle east, oh yeah that's right it has nothing to do with people giving a fuck about muslims its because nobody gives a fuck about Jews. We all watched as we witness men, woman, children and babies be slaughtered in their own homes by a terrorist group who recorded it on go-pros, they called their own mothers to rejoice that they killed jews and they have said repeatedly they will do it again and again. What was our response to this? By praising them as freedom fighters and rewarding their brutality by asking Israel to share their homeland with those terrorists. I remember a time when decent people in the west would see terrorism for what it was and rather than ask for a ceasefire should instead demand for the return of those hostages who are still being held captive. If that was my son being held captive I would bomb every fucking building in Gaza until he was returned to safety, the audacity of the west to tell Jews who have had their families murdered that they should also share their homeland with those murderers honestly leaves me speechless.

It also wouldn't really work - if Egypt opened their border tomorrow, many Gazans would stay as it's their home, they're proud people and they don't want to be beggars elsewhere. 2. The Hamas attack on October 7th was barbaric, and deserving of condemnation. Nothing happens in a vacuum, though. In this case, the context includes decades of intermittent bombing campaign against Gaza, many of which have killed more people than the October 7th attack, and all of which have had a worse ration of civilian to combatant casualties. It includes Israel taking thousands of Palestinian prisoners, many of them minors, and holding them for years and decades, without trial. It includes Israeli soldiers and settlers raping and murdering Palestinian civilians. We should curse Hamas, but, for every time we curse Hamas, we should curse Israel 17 times, as Israel on average has killed 17 Palestinians for every Israeli that's killed. I'm always amused when Americans suggest "just move" as a solution to problems. That may work in the US, where most people have shallow roots in the land, but it doesn't work in Europe, Asia, or Africa. The Palestinians are 50% descended from the original Canaanites. They and their ancestors have lived in that land for more than 4,500 years, continuously. When the ancestors of modern Jews fled, the ancestors of the Palestinians stayed (including, among others, the Pharisees). The Palestinians aren't going anywhere. They're certainly not going to give up the land to people with "only" 2,500 years in the land, who haven't been there for the last 2,000 years. Btw, Jews and Palestinians have about the same degree of ancestry in Israel/Palestine; the difference is that the non-Canaanite DNA of Jews is mostly European, while the non-Canaanite DNA of Palestinians is mostly from neighboring countries. If a two state solution isn't an option, then the only road to peace is a Palestinian state, preferably one where Jews will be welcome; currently, Israeli Jews aren't making a good case for welcoming them.

The Palestinians who have rejected the two state solution have also refused to live as equal citizens in Israel - and thus live in Gaza or the West Bank. They are WELCOME in Israel but they REJECT living alongside Jews. There’s no possibility of a one-state ruled by Palestine where Jews are safe. We already HAVE a state where Jews and Arabs live peacefully and that’s literally Israel today. Get it? Those who don’t hate Jews live peacefully along side them in Israel. There’s Palestinians in every level or government in Israel - including the Supreme Court. Joe’s guest here is super confused. Nobody who’s logical and informed says that criticism of Israel is necessarily anti-Semitic. However… the major Israeli protests against Netanyahu have nothing to do with the Israel-Palestine issue, that’s an internal debate about judicial reforms. In terms of making a strong response to the Hamas attack, Israel is in lock-step about that. Yes, there is vigorous debate about the details even within Israel, and there is even an entire group of experts on the humanitarian aspect of military operations who are involved in all Israeli military strategic decisions. There can be vigorous debate about this or that tactic or strategy as well from outside Israel, just as any sovereign nation can criticize or try to influence any other. Where it becomes problematic are when the criticisms of Israel are either (or both) unfairly and inaccurately characterized for emotional impact (I.e. “genocide” or “apartheid”… both of which are a complete joke if you know anything about either), or when the criticism is more vociferous and strong against Israel (even for fair criticisms) when there was not a peep on the streets of the west about even more extreme actions by other countries with even more deaths or with actual ethnic cleansing (Syria, Yemen, Rwanda, China etc etc). Only Israel gets the street protests when the entire 75 years of the Israel-Arab conflict from 1948 until today, including fighting between mechanized armies, has only taken around 50,000- 70,000 lives. Compare that with the 500,000 killed in Syria just in the past 10 years or the 1 million people killed in Rwanda in a 100 day period. Not. A. Peep. But Israel defends itself (against a group with a very clearly and unequivocally expressed genocidal intent) and the world goes insane. Why???????????????????????? There is a reason why attacking from civilian homes, hospitals, schools, and civilian infrastructure facilities are war crimes. The reason is **not** that “it’s not fair because your enemy can’t retaliate.” The reasons it’s a war crime is that your enemy *will* retaliate and those civilian structures, homes, and infrastructure will be destroyed. Case in point.

@@sharwama992 right off the United Nations website: On the termination of the Mandate, Jewish forces moved to occupy further territory beyond the boundaries specified by the Partition resolution. Irregular units from neighbouring Arab States had already entered Palestine in the final weeks of the Mandate, and now regular forces from these countries crossed into Palestine. The Arab League informed the United Nations Secretary-General by cable of the reasons for the Arab action. After tracing the history of the Palestine question and the efforts of the Arab States to help the Palestinian Arabs to secure their rightful independence, the cable stated: “Now that the Mandate over Palestine has come to an end, leaving no legally constituted authority behind in order to administer law and order in the country and afford the necessary and adequate protection to life and property, the Arab States declare as follows: “(a) The right to set up a Government in Palestine pertains to its inhabitants under the principles of self-determination recognized by the Covenant of the League of Nations as well as the United Nations Charter; “(b) Peace and order have been completely upset in Palestine, and, in consequence of Jewish aggression, approximately over a quarter of a million of the Arab population have been compelled to leave their homes and emigrate to neighbouring Arab countries. The prevailing events in Palestine exposed the concealed aggressive intentions of the Zionists and their imperialistic motives … “(c) The Mandatory has already announced that on the termination of the Mandate it will no longer be responsible for the maintenance of law and order in Palestine … This leaves Palestine absolutely without any administrative authority … “… “(e) … The recent disturbances in Palestine further constitute a serious and direct threat to peace and security within the territories of the Arab States themselves. For these reasons, and considering that the security of Palestine is a sacred trust for them, and out of anxiousness to check the further deterioration of the prevailing conditions and to prevent the spread of disorder and lawlessness into the neighbouring Arab lands, and in order to fill the vacuum created by the termination of the Mandate and the failure to replace it by any legally constituted authority, the Arab Governments find themselves compelled to intervene for the sole purpose of restoring peace and security and establishing law and order in Palestine. “The Arab States recognize that the independence and sovereignty of Palestine which was so far subject to the British Mandate has now, with the termination of the Mandate, become established in fact, and maintain that the lawful inhabitants of Palestine are alone competent and entitled to set up an administration in Palestine for the discharge of all governmental functions without any external interference. As soon as that stage is reached for the intervention of the Arab States, which is confined to the restoration of peace and establishment of law and order, shall be put an end to, and the sovereign State of Palestine will be competent in co-operation with the other States members of the Arab League, to take every step for the promotion of the welfare and security of its peoples and territory …”

@@Disgruntled1986 because Joe has had more than enough anti-israel people on his show, and Bassem, while being very charming and well-polished, is a liar. And I say this as an anti-zionist. The Jews of Egypt were also anti-zionist until the Egyptian government blamed them for their defeat at the hands of Israel, stole their property and subject to show trials and torture and essentially forced them into the hands of the Zionist. Bassem lies about this, and then continues to talk about how oppressed the Arabs of Israel are, meanwhile Egypt's Jewish community has been ethnically cleansed.

What, the Palestinians are the only people under so-called occupation? How come Tibetans didn't use suicide bombers against their Chinese overlords (who killed over 1.2 million Tibetans)?

@@KristiinaBerg "Israel far-right minister enters Al-Aqsa in ‘provocation’" - January 3rd, 2023 - Al Jazeera "Israeli actions on Temple Mount unacceptable, US tells UNSC" - January 5th, 2023 - The Jerusalem Post I'll keep the headlines short on that one, but this is the guy (THE ISRAELI NATIONAL SECURITY MINISTER) that is part of the Extreme Far-Right Kahanist Group. This is the guy that supports, and is part of the same group of all of these extremist Israeli Settlers that have chanted "Death to Arabs" while attacking and killing people in the West Bank, and in East Jerusalem. This is the guy that decides to walk into Al-Aqsa Mosque while provoking Hamas, and continues to support all of the chanting, attacking, and killing by extreme far-right settlers for ALL of 2022, and ALL of 2023. Why is this so important? Well, let's take a look at his Wikipedia page: "Itamar Ben-Gvir (Hebrew: אִיתָמָר בֶּן גְּבִיר; born 6 May 1976) is an Israeli lawyer and far-right politician who has served as the Minister of National Security since 2022. He is a member of the Knesset and leader of Otzma Yehudit. Ben-Gvir, a settler in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, has faced charges of hate speech against Arabs and was known to have a portrait in his living room of Israeli-American mass murderer and Jewish extremist Baruch Goldstein, who massacred 29 Palestinian Muslim worshipers and wounded 125 others in Hebron, in the 1994 Cave of the Patriarchs massacre. He removed the portrait after he entered politics. He was also previously convicted of supporting a terrorist group known as Kach, which espoused Kahanism, an extremist religious Zionist ideology. Under his leadership, the Otzma Yehudit (Jewish Power), a party which espouses Kahanism and anti-Arabism, won six seats in the 2022 Israeli legislative election, and is represented in what has been called the most right-wing and hardline government in Israel's history. He has called for the expulsion of Arab citizens of Israel who are not loyal to Israel. Ben Gvir is "widely known for his openly racist, anti-Arab views and activities". Israeli sociologist Eva Illouz has said Ben Gvir represents "Jewish fascism". Ben Gvir had been long accused of being a provocateur, having previously led several visits to the Temple Mount as activist and member of Knesset, contentious marches through Jerusalem's Old City Muslim Quarter, and set up an office in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood which witnessed several evictions of Palestinians. On 3 January 2023, he visited the Temple Mount where the al-Aqsa Mosque is located, spurring an international wave of criticism that labelled his visit purposely provocative. As a lawyer, he is known for defending Jewish terrorists on trial in Israel." Okay, so now that we've gotten that out of the way... Who is the Kahanist group? Oh, LITERALLY, AN ORGANIZATION LISTED ON THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT'S FOREIGN TERRORIST ORGANIZATIONS LIST... that is up until 2022, when Ben-Gvir got elected as Israel's National Security Minister... HOLD ON, THERE'S MORE! THE KAHANIST EXTREMIST GROUP WAS DECLARED A TERRORIST ORGANIZATION BY THE US STATE DEPARTMENT ON OCTOBER 7TH, 1997. Wait a minute... October 7th, 1997?! Why does that date sound familiar? So, Ben Gvir, the Israel National Security Minister and member of the Kahanist Group, decides to provoke Hamas by entering the Al-Aqsa mosque that Muslims and Palestinians have literally been struggling to do since 2021 due to settler violence, military and police brutality, and NEWLY IMPOSED ISRAELI LEGAL RESTRICTIONS, while stating “Our government will not surrender to the threats of Hamas.” And further stating, “is open to all and if Hamas thinks that if it threatens me it will deter me, they should understand that times have changed,” and acting against the advice of pretty much all of Israeli leadership. This happened in January. Then, you have massive amounts of settler violence and killings and forcible evictions against Palestinians in East Jerusalem and the West Bank all throughout the year, in addition to settlers chanting "Death to Arabs" all year, and all of 2022, and 2021. THEN, you throw in the largest Israeli Military attack on the West bank in nearly 20 years, more illegal settlement expansion into the West Bank (on a large scale during and slightly before the military attack), and 237 Palestinians killed by the IDF ALL BEFORE OCTOBER 7TH of 2023, AND ALL OF THAT WAS JUST 2023 ALONE. We didn't even go into a full break down of 2022, and 2021.

On the 7th, there were no direct attacks on civilians, only collateral damage. Out of the 769 names on the Haaretz dataset, 462 were military personnel, including 55 soldiers, 13 privates, 59 corporals, 200 sergeants (45 of whom were sergeant majors), 48 commanders, 32 lieutenants, 5 lieutenant colonels, 6 colonels, 37 officers, 10 inspectors, 6 intendents, and 2 Lance Corp. This was a military defeat, and they are taking it out on the rest. Out of the 1148 total names, 403 were military personnel, 59 belonged to the police, and 668 were civilians. This means that the collateral damage on the 7th was lower than any of the iTf "mowing" operations, which has a ratio of 6:1. The ratio of civilians to military personnel killed on the 7th was 1.6:1, with 462 military personnel out of 1148 total. When including all casualties, not just deaths, the collateral damage ratio of the "mowing" operations is 162:1 and not "just" 6:1 based on analyzing UN OHC data from 2008 to 2022. A 162 :1 ratio means that for every 162 civillians, 1 military personnel is a casualty. The 7th had a ratio of 1.6:1, a hundred times lower. The reported (not all have their ages listed) ages of the victims are as follows: 0-4: 2 civilians 5-12: 8 civilians 13-17: 14 civilians 18-25: 132 civilians 26-40: 119 civilians 41-60: 55 civilians 61+: 40 civilians 18-25: 258 active duty military personnel 26-40: 60 active duty military personnel 41-60: 17 active duty military personnel 61+: 1 active duty military personnel

An excess of ten thousands, all before the seventh The first time the phrase “human animal” was recorded in history was by Eichmann in WW2 he literally said “we have to be savages in a chapter that will never be written when treating human animals”, even their calculating of calories was also don " In the Tantura (2022) documentary there is a iTf man who says that they took a pregnant woman, made bets whether the baby is a boy or a girl, disemboweled and cut her stomach open to check who won, another one talking about school children who were raising their the hands, the same way kids do in a classroom, after he rounded them up. He then kept firing. Both laughing merrily and casually at the recollection. In another documentary '1948: Creation & Catastrophe', a survivor speaks about women getting violated infront of their family members by iTf. She was a child at the time and still wept as an elderly woman. For more recent atrocities, "Breaking the Silence" record statements by the iTf themselves, they recount the events witht he same casualty their forebears do. The journalist Gideon Levy once was at a checkpoint in the west bank where the soldiers there force the ambulance to wait an hour before someone clears it through as part of a routine while they watch Tv. The journalist waited with the ambulance then got angry, confronted the iTf soldier asking him what if it were your mother in the ambulance, the soldier made the same face and pointed his weapon at him. This was many years ago, it had only gotten worse since. They simply dont see them as human, by ANY means want the world to see the same.
