Joe Rogan is the best interviewer on his JRE podcast. He looks fine without hair also. I am balding and due to his testimonial, I decided to bald naturally and gracefully.

I had two FUTs done in 2001. I looked worse after the transplant. I had no choice but to wear a hair system, which I still do to this day because I have nasty visible plug cornrows on my scalp. How come Joe doesn’t have any plug cornrows on his head?

I was on propecia for the best part of a decade. I stopped four years ago as I wanted to have kids (I'm now 39 and have two kids, so that worked out well). My hair is thinning now and it's worrying me (a lot) but I just can't justify going back on finasteride, not at my age and not with kids, it's a risky drug health wise. When I came off it I got a lot of unexplained symptoms crop up, probably from testosterone levels dropping, which are only now just starting to fade and it's been four years! Hormones control so much and when you reduce one by 75% or whatever it's going to have a knock-on effect. The drug isn't fully understood in the long term and if I was a betting man I'd say that there's going to be some epic court cases in the future against the manufacturers/suppliers. It does save hair, but it also does a lot of other things, some of the stuff it does we won't find out before it's too late and that is the risk.

I have been on finasteride and now dutasteride for a total of 2 years and one month and I can confirm that Joe Rogan did experience sexual side effects specifically from the hair loss drug. I didn’t want to continue experiencing hair-loss so I just continued using the 5 alpha reductase inhibitors and was able to find ways to work around the side effects that worked for me if I was ever with my girlfriend at the time. It’s a potent drug, but if it weren’t for minoxidil and finasteride/dutasteride I would be bald by now! Instead I’m probably between a NW1 and NW2 thanks to advice from all these channels!

Same here, I've tried finasteride twice and it completely nuked all of my sex drive and gave me horrible brain fog. I didn't want to do anything. Derek from more plates more dates discusses exactly why this happens in a LOT of men and that all men should get blood work and look at their total androgen profile first before getting on that stuff. It's terrible for a lot of men. Don't blindly believe big pharma when they tell you it's only 2%. Anyone who believes that is a sheep.

Is it reasonable to plant hair to grow forward to then be styled back, kind of like Donald Trump whose hairline we never see? Or would that not be natural and would create styling problems?
@kevinlimpert85233 жыл бұрын
Your right about that at the time Joe Rogan had his transplant done their never was any information out to the public about anti androgens unless you took chemistry and biology courses and you remembered what you learned from school ..I had one done during that time as well .the thought was that by mixing ( transplanted ) healthy hairs in with the thinning hair, the miniaturizing hair would experience a rejuvenation when you used minoxidil, and at the time was believed to be a frolical preserving stand alone treatment . yes advances came a long way .for me I kept using minoxidil off and on since my FUT in 95 managed to keep enough surviving hiding my head under hats til this year when I did the Derick from more plates nuclear approach . Stacking my minoxidil with tretinoin flutimide ,ru48851 .also alternate between taking Veltam a eastern countries dutasteride for when I use TRT and than finasteride .now I'm a Norwood 2.5 my baseline where the transplant surgeon opted me a compromised hairline . I'm also noticing more growth in-between the sparce grafts and starting to grown below my hairline using a WNT pathway experimental formula
